how small can u keep a mother plant?

Hi everyone,
I got some plants in dwc in my closet. Eventually, I'm gonna want to make some mother plants or keep some vegi. The problem is, is that i'll need the closet for flowering. Plus i need my main light to flower. This puts me in a situation where i have no great place to put my mother or veg plants. I'm thinking of building a grow box. But worried that any plants in there would quickly outgrow it. Can i just prune to keep the plants small? Or would i have to eventually flower and replace the mother? I'm all ears! yes you could just keep it small.

also im of the oppinion mother plants are only good for so long. well think of ot, most plants dont usually grow for two years and constantly get chopped back do they. but its best to use the one mother for as long as possible.

some people may dissagree and say nah ya can veg it for as long as ya want but i wouldnt personally.

that and i likwe variety smoking the same thing over and over is too much for me.. gotta have some variety

i know this dont help ya much but to answer your question ya can keep them small and for as long as you can but i thin there comes a time when its prolly besty to just finish the mother up

Jester88, Thanks for the reply. I kinda guessed that the plant would have to be flowered eventually. Just wanted to double check. Too many times i've found myself three quarters through a grow and was like "AWWWWWWHHH I should of thought this out better." I'm gonna just build a box and when it's time use a ton of CFL's to veg the plant out. Thanks again, later!

by the same token do it propperly and well and it should last ya a while.

mothers are genrally good for busting out heaps of almost identical plants in there time tho..

like i sdaid this is just my oppinion

Yah, i'll put some effort into building it. I'm getting ready to increase my plants! Got some big bud, massar-I-sharrif seeds germing. I cant wait. It's funny, I never really laugh or smile unless I'm high or figuring out ways to grow pot. Though if that chick shows her boobs i may laugh a little.

cheers to that mate! I've always been obsessed with pot. I remember my first grow attempt in my parents basement. 6ft tall monster that I vegged forever. Then when i tried to bloom it turned hermi and i only got abt 2 ounces. But it was just enough to keep me high and interested.
