How should I decarb pure, crystalline thca for recipes?

I am experimenting with a new gummy bear recipe and I don't want a strong flavor-influence that usually occurs when I use other types of concentrates. But, I've never "cooked" with THCa crystals before so I'm wondering if there is anything I need to know before I attempt to decarb it. Normally, I put some concentrate into a stainless steel measuring spoon and then place that into oven for an hour or so. I'm not sure if this will be adequate for the crystalline THCa or not.

Has anyone been there/done that? Advice?
