how much water / nutrients when transplanting?

plants are 10 days old - 3 sets of leaves - 4" tall

I heard just a little watering when transplanting
I heard no nutrients for a few days
I heard some lite nutrients the first day
I heard water after transplant
I heard water before transplanting

I like to water fairly close before transplant, then immediately after they've been transplanted. I don't use any nutrients right at transplant (except a little super-thrive, or something similar). Then in following waterings, slowly build up nutrient levels.

...you want to water the soil before you transplant....both, the transplant pot and the present pot ....wait 1/2 hour and water both a second time...then transplant just before a sleep period, imo.

...if your transplanting into a quailty soil such as fox farm ocean forest, you should not fertilize for a couple weeks (this would depend on the size of pot and the age of your plant, imo) ...example, a rooted clone should be fine for 3-4 weeks without any fertilizer ,in a one gallon pot, in quality soil ....a medium size plant would need fertilizer after 2 weeks or so after a transplant into say,.... a 3 gallon pot, in quality soil, imo.
