i am in the middle of LST'ing my bigbud, shes got so big i have to tie her down, ive done the 2main colas and was going to start tieying down the next tallest branches.

just wondering if LST brings on any stress???? thanx in advance:mrgreen:

If done properly Low Stress Training is exactly that. I have never had a plant react negatively to being opened up or tied down for better light penetration and even canopy.

I found your journal. Thought you were referring to albums. These ladies can take a beating. Just posted pics of 5 ladies being tied down in my album and in englands new thread. Here are a few past grow training pics.
Although it looks like a scrog, I started off by pulling them to the sides of container first. I actually cut the netting off around 5 weeks of flower then tied any loose branches.
Lovely plants man. Props to ya!!

Yeah they can take a beating, just be careful...
this late in the growth stage the stems are more rigid,
and could snap - nothin' some old duct tape couldn't fix though.

lst, low stress training,as the name implies there is some stress {low stress}, but it is usually worth the stress when you figure more light to the lower buds

Your right, I only train early in growth or when they stretch in early flower. They become very pliable, and are mature enough to handle bending during stretch.

yup yup you can tie the mdown in any stage just be carfull about breaking the stem..heres a pic of some lst early on...

thanx for the comment on the plants, u need to tune into my journal and watch these babies progress, i promise some big juice nugs.
as for this thread i know that lst is LOW STRESS but how much of it can u do before she starts to not like it????
my babies are getting big and im running out of head room, taking then out is not an option unfortunetly so lst is my only option, if u guys go to my journal (600wMediGreenGrowers first bigbud journal) u will see some of the LST work i have done so far, im 16days into 12/12 now so im sure most of the 2week stratch is over, i have around 5-10 inches spare high left before the top colas will get burnt.
get to my journal, subscribe and wait for the weekly pics of these monsters, i cant wait for harvest already and im only 2 1/2 weeks in, this is my 5th grow and im still as inpatient as the first if not worse lol:shock:. comments welcome.

Of course you do not want to just pull them down to the sides immediately. About a week after my veg has started I like to move them around in circles so the are used to being moved around and messed with. I do believe that this helps out quite a bit when training later in growth. I pay special attention to the media when moving them around, you can see medium move when bending side to side. I also let the media dry out before my first initial tie down, so the roots dont tear from the weight of the wet medium.
Always a little at a time with bending. Keep up the good work. I will post new pics of training tonight, when lights comeback on. Peace:leaf:

Here is the difference in only a couple of days of when i first started bending. Far right is day started far left is 3 days later.
