How much light?

I'm planning on vegging my plants under artificial light but natural conditions, ie: a partial greenhouse w/ a 400w mh.
My question is:
I get 7 hours of direct light, 10 total. I put a plant outside in February (i know, wtf?) and now it's flowering, about 6 weeks behind her indoor siblings.
Can I veg under that MH and feasibly put the plants outdoors when they show sex and use the sun to induce flowering?

If you put em outside now it wont start showing flowers tell Late July-Aug, cause then the light will be getting shorter again an working twards 12/12.
The light in march-april is about 12/12 wich caused it to flower.

yes you can veg anytime you want just increase the light cycle past 12/12. When you goto 12/12 you will flower. Some strains may react differently then others but thats pretty much the norm.

Yeah, but the problem is I only get 8 hours of direct light and 2 more of shaded. I think what I'll do is put them outside for the 8 and then bring them in under the 400hps for 4 more hours. That will have the added benifit of having them in absolute darkness.
