Alright everyone listen. I understand if you grow to save money. I understand that whole concept. By smoking what you grow you are saving. However, this thread if you are able to read is about those people that seek to sell some of their grow. There is nothing wrong with this as many people have stated "how do you think people get weed that don't grow?"
I also understand that this it is not smart to consider this as a job as there is much more money to be made in the marketplace than there is growing and also it is legal money.
In addition, everyone on here is assuming that you have to grow indoor. This is not true. Outdoor crops yield more weight per plant than indoor. I would also be growing guerrilla growing style, which means it would not be on my property, but in the middle of nowhere in a well hidden area. If you grow and successful harvest lets say 20 plants and speaking with minimums here yield a half pound off each plant you are going to have 10 pounds.
In my area I can sell a pound anywhere from $4000 to $4800 depending on the quality. For math sake lets say that we sell each pound for $4200, this would mean you would earn $42,000 almost pure profit. This is not too difficult to do if you have the right connects.
I for one know 3-5 people who I could dump off a pound to. They would be able to get rid of it in a week or two max. This means that within a month's time my entire harvest would be gone and I would be sitting on $42,000.
I don't know why people are calling me a dumbass and all these other cruel names because I am business savvy and have an entrepreneurial mind in everything that I do including my smoking habits. Call me dumb, but next year I will take a picture of all the cash that I have earned and show you that it is not hard to do and can help a family's income exponentially especially in these economic times.

Please leave this thread if you are not interested in selling. Please leave if you have nothing to contribute. Please leave and just go smoke your weed that you grew and be happy that you don't have to pay for it, but there is a whole market of people out there than do not grow or can't grow and must buy and I want to talk about taking advantage of that market.

Mane if this isn't the right place to talk about it then why hasn't it been taken down. If it really is not allowed to be talked about on this website than I will gladly stop talking about it. However, since it has remained on I have come to the conclusion that it must be "okay" to talk about, therefore I will continue trying to make this thread useful to those that are interested in the subject manner, which as you can see from the heavy response to the thread there are a lot of people interested.

I have seen a lot of 'Elite' and 'Staff' people on here that are growing WAY more then they could possibly smoke, even in a lifetime 
I understand its not good to talk about selling because it can bring on the heat. But I am with whiterain, if RIU doesn't want discussions of the commercial potentials of marijuana discussed, then one of the 'Staff' should yank the thread.

Last year I spent about $4,000, got .....mmmmmmmm NOTHING! but this year I've only spent about a grand and I will probably get ....mmmmmm NOTHING again! Growing pot is going to be a WHOLE lot more expensive than you ever dreamed, take more of your time and love than you can imagine, consume your thoughts day and night throughout the entire grow and then you have another month of drying and three months of curing before you even get to smoke it. Yeah, you can smoke it earlier but it's not it's best and with this much money, time and love, you're going to want it at it's very best. On the upside, it will be better than any weed you've ever smoked (unless you plant bagseed from schwag). Start with some good quality seeds from one of the seed company's you'll find mentioned here, get you a good (large multi-spectrum) CFL light and a bag of Fox Farms soil, a couple of grow bags and pray that your babies come up girls and make it through to bud before you kill them. I can't even begin to articulate how easy it is to fuck up your plants by tending to them too much - and they die.

ok assume you are in a great climate for growing... figure if you start an outdoor plant early, and say you got ten of em spread out around your area and what not... all nice perky females.. and you travel every few days to water em and fertilize em and all that jazz.. expect 1lb per female, so ten lbs of nice mids. so what does ten lbs go for where you stay? thats how much you get for 6 months of trucking water around and being mr green thumb... indoor in my opinion would be much more vialble as an enterprise than guerilla growing outdoors unless you just have nothing else to do..
indoors is more discreet, year round, and perpetual if you set it up right.. i personally know people who pull down well over six figures a year doing indoor with 4-6000w depending on the time of year. hope this helps
