couple years ago i grew a couple indicas and i utilised that lst method so i had a short pllants with quite a few colas. i wish i had pictures to post the only issue i had were that the buds were very fluffy and really weak. they were out doors could lights outside have caused the damage and also does anyone know a strain that cann withstand not having a real dark period?

A plant needs a true dark period in flowering. Some outdoor growers have had some of their plant stay in veg while the other parts bloom due to street lights. A plant can handle low levels of ambient light. Plants handle moonlight all the time, but if you can keep them away from street lights and make sure that it is getting either only your HID's or getting only sunlight. Outside light could definitely cause confusion in your plant. Fluffier airier buds are usually due to not enough light or nutrients from what I understand.

unorthodox;5293622] I grew trainwreck on my 4th flook balcony, almost parelell to a streetlight only a few feet away and had no issues at all with it.
I'm not saying that it will happen all the time, but if you are close enough to a light source, it definitely could happen. Why cause problems if you can avoid them? Fix it before it happens is my motto. :P

thank you i neglected to mention i kinda never gave them nutes after they started to flower
Ya, lack of nutes could definitely eff up your grow, lol.

i agree, nutes. i made my own teas... i couldnt afford nutes at the time. use what you got when your plants need it. for veg i used old coffee grinds and some kitchen scraps for flower i still used the coffee but bannanna peals and apple skins and other fruit in my tea... it s all free and some of the best smoke my friends and i ever had.

how did you make your teas?
i think you made it by just soaking your ingredients in water then straining but i might me wrong. if that is the case how long do you soak for and can i over do it with teas like you can with regular nutes and can you keep feeding till chop time with them.

Ya my buddy and I did some outdoor in his own home made compost. This is another low cost easy way to make some nutrient soil. You could just do a tea with the compost or do some planting with it, I would recommend a base sterile soil be cut with it over just using the 100% compost to plant in, you could easily burn your plants.

Put your compost or whatever you are using to make a tea into a nylon sock and then soak that in a 5 gallon bucket. You could add an aerator, etc. But if you just wanna make a quick tea, put your material in a nylon stocking and put it into the bucket. Stir it several times vigorously to reintroduce air and keep the anaerobic bacteria from forming after a few hours pull out your stocking and wring it thoroughly. Depending on what you have used, you could just pour the tea on your plants, or you could cut it with some water, and apply it to your plants.

yeah thats about it, i used a 5lt wine jug set it aside with an air stone to add o2 and help with the compost. a few days should be long enough but ive used from 12hrs to a bit over a week. depends when it needs to be watered, soil got dry quick @100°+ days. ive never overdone it using teas, im sure others will say different... in the past i useed aquarium water with eggshells coffee grinds apple peals onionskins avacado skins tomato....kitchen scraps. they all have their own chemical breakdown. i just tried to match what i used with what she needed. didnt really test the ph the tea gets kinda brown so the strips dont work but some lemon or citrus skins is what i used to add acidity. otheradvice is to cut things up small enough to pour freely outof the bottle mouth so you can start fresh and always strain the junk before you use it.

can i burn my plants with too much of the tea and ive heard of using air pumps witho soil does it make a dramatic impact on the growth of the plants

I am sure you probably could burn your plants with a tea. If you brewed it particularly potently. I hear some people cut it with water depending on how dark it is. My buddy says that he likes his murky, but not too dark.

it all depends on what and how much you put in to it. unless you always use the same ingredents itwill always be a different color. if my other pc wasnt down i would show you how my balcony grow looked using only teas. i was proud. she was full of trics everywhere.
