You can get 3 gallon plastic bucket from dollar general for $1.17 ..the one i ones i bought from dollar general are $3.00 ..11quart (1 quart less than 3 gallons) and oval shaped so the roots have more area to grow outwards...and have handles for easy moving

that pic of your plants really helped a lot, going off the info i have from you guys i will be growing one plant at a time with the UFO i have and then grow another when the first is 2/3 finished and when i can get more i shall get more.

Best ufo grow I've seen...good by most all standards. He runs them super close compared to other (I know the cabinet has to do with that) but I like it. Still not my choice but looks way better than older grows. Good luck with your guys' grows.

yea i was told the UFOs can damn near touch the plant since they arent hot at all

There is not a certain criterion. Currently, I have 12 plants flowering under 450W LED panels.

those look pretty long have you thought about lowering it, and how many panels do you use

you misunderstood. 1 plant per 2G, so 2 @ 2g pots

You could build a barrier between the 2 halves of the 5 g to isolate roots. I doubt one ufo 90 will do much by itself though. I own one. Supplement with cheap vanity fixture + screw bulb leds

good luck bro keep us in the know with your grow ! ...just a suggestion but you might want to have 2 plant going....eventually you may just focus on the one plant..but in the early stages you will ateast have more than 1 to choose from and the other plant you can experiment with on the side....just a suggestion

yea that makes sense, i want to experiment with 2 plants im just worried about my lights being enough but i have 62 seeds i guess i can spare 1 fore experiments. But mos def will let you guys know im most likely starting today!

I have grown several grows under LED and they all have been successful. I use DWC and have a very small growspace (600mmx600mm). I tried growing two plants but as one of the other respondents pointed out - no two plants are exactly the same and I found one always over-grows the other. I therefore decided to try to grow one plant exceedingly well and fast rather than two poorly and slow. This has turned out to be a winning strategy (my average crop-weight per month improved).

On the subject of light you need to understand (particularly with LED's) that there was a breakthrough in LED chip technology about 2 years ago. The light output rocketed. If you are going to use LED's you need to know who's LED chips the manufacturer is using. If it is Bridglux or Cree you may be ok. If you are using an old, crappy Chinese unbranded UFO you will be wasting your time, money and effort.

I am currently using a new Vipar that really pumps the light out. http://www.viparled.co.uk/ You also need to know that you should not go above 50,000 lux. The plants cannot use more than this - they are saturated. If you go really high (say 90,000 lux) you get solarization that will stop photosynthesis. I adjust the light intensity by lifting the light on its yo yo until it is at 50,000 lux at the scrog canopy and hold it there. My technique is to grow very fast (I choose fast finishing strains) and go for a high quality grow. I can also anticipate the next cycle by about 2 weeks by getting the next grow underway in peat plugs and then in a net-pot in clay balls waiting for the plant in the grow-space tank to be finished. Be cautious with this as some plants mature a little slower than others and you need to know the strain you are growing to pull this stunt. Different strains - different finishing speeds. I see no reason the same practice could not work with a non-DWC grow.

This technique is producing more finished high-quality bud than my wife and I want to consume. My stash got to heroic proportions and got risky from a legal standpoint (if your stash is too big and you get busted they can allege you have intent to supply - even if like me, this is nonesense). I therefore had a 5 month holiday from growing. Lastly - remember you will need a lux meter to measure and control light dose. These are cheap enough so don't try to grow without one.

imo, 1x 90W UFO is sufficient for one mid-size plant, say 18"Hx18"W maximum. The problem is not in vegging, you could probably veg 2-3 plants under it and get them to a decent size. The problem is that when it comes to flowering, you will simply not have sufficient coverage, nor spectrum to cover the area with any more than one plant. This is a typical mistake LED newbs make and then get discouraged and blame the LED's. imo, do one plant under it until you can afford to add on. You're better to get some nice buds off one plant vs. a bunch of popcorn from 2-3 plants. 2 cents...
