How many have seen a gun pulled on another, except legally by cops?

Have you witnessed a gun being pointed at another illegally?

Actually, in most states you cannot use a weapon unless you believe your life is threatened. If you kill someone stealing your car you might serve time for manslaughter if not murder.
Texas is the exception.
Texas also rightly allows ex felons to possess firearms in their own home

my point is you cant just run out and start shooting people just cause you think something is going down. you might end up killing the things you love the most because you could not do something as simple as stand in cover WITH YOUR GUN and yell out a warning or fire into the air and yell the warning while in cover.

its common sence, think before you act. but hey i gues shooting someone you love to death means nothing as long as you have your shit right?

i know people are fucked up but the person who will fire and aim for the head without hesitation and without double checking so that he dont do the misstake of a lifetime is seriously one of the stupidest things ive ever heard.
The "warning shot" was made by the Colorado government when they legalized shooting people in your own home who are not supposed to be there. Who knows, maybe the person is in my basement just to steal a few bucks worth of fishing tackle. Why would he risk his life because of some fishing tackle? WHO CARES! He knows what the consequences could be if caught in my basement uninvited...that's why I would also assume said burglar is packing a piece. Someone who is willing to be killed over something trivial, might be willing to kill over something trivial.

Want to know how to keep me from shooting you? STAY OUT OF MY HOUSE!

Carrying a loaded handgun in your car is also legal in Colorado, if kept in view. Guess how many carjackings I've seen on the news in the last year...LOL!

Guess what would happen if someone tried carjacking me...

^^^ agreed,

The wife and I carry everywhere we go and this will not change due to some bs law that says I can't. If you come into my home uninvited, you will more than likely meet your maker, I do not fire warning shots, that shit is for hollywood.
I will defend my home and family by whatever means needed, be it wasp spray or a baseball bat or any one of my firearms or any combination I think I may need.

If you give up your right to defend yourself by giving up your weapons, you deserve to have whatever happens to you and your family.

The right to keep and bear arms will not be infringed upon., cause if you do, it may be the last thing either of us get to do.

I will keep my guns at whatever cost, even my simple little life.

Peace

Yea, as long as that person stays away from the house, they will be fine. If they want to take my guns, well, I am almost certain they are not ready for what is to come next...lol

You know in my house you can have anything you want on the first floor. I'm just going to call the cops. Come up the stairs otherwise known as the killzone and your death is your responsibility

Their death should become their responsibility when they entered your house.

Obviously. I dont want to kill anyone. Too much trouble. Cops, news neighbors. I got cameras and a dog now. That should be enough of a deterrent for anyone with intelligence. There aint nothing here to take except some replaceable electronics.
And not that I am anti gun or anything. But a 12 guage is all you really need to protect your house. That a a good flashlight

This is just genius!
shoot first look and ask later.
dont fire into the air or something so that the thief notice that you see him and cant tell your location (wow the upper hand without killing him) . Dont scream out a warning from a covered space. dont be smart just fucking shoot and aim for the head! and the time when it is your own son who just wanted to go for a midnight test-drive even if he is not allowed... fuq it shoot him to death then ask questions. then ask yourself if you were right
Doesn't have to be a kill shot, especially at night it's gonna be hard to get a head shot and I'm sure someone having a son or daughter would think about that first.

We all sleep up stairs. To come up stairs you are going to be walking up a long stairway that is 3 foot wide. If I just randomly aim down the stairs with my shotgun, Your dead

Not to mention, PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME DAD!!!!! coming from the darkness, but I will say this, if one of my children would have put me through an episode like that, I promise you that it would have never crossed thier minds again, and if it did, the reflection of the pain that they endured would halt it very quickly.( please note, my youngest is 23 now)

In my state, someone entering an occupied residence or vehicle can be shot if someone fears for their life. In general, if you do anything that threatens someones life you can be shot.

I would guess that 5-10% of the population here carrys a gun. Since concealed carry without a permit is legal it can be hard to tell. My assumption is based on the theory that for each person I see openly carrying there are two concealed carriers.

The odds of anyone running amok getting their head blown off is pretty high.

Only an idiot would try to rob the local walmart.

I agree, if I ever needed to grab a gun in the middle of the night, it would be a shotgun.

I can dot your eye at 100 feet with Iron sites with a rifle
However with a pistol
I once got out of my car and shot at a possum 6 feet away 7 times
I hit it once
