You need to go with a Indica dominat strain. Nothing less the 80-20 Indican dominant. Preferably a 100% Indica. Indicas are known for short compact grow with short flowering periods. Your area is about the same as mine and I can can get two to three 4 1/2 foot Indica dom. plants with room for my light fixture and a fan. Bubbalicious from Nirvana is a great strain for this setup. I have grown multiple times and it always produced compact plants with flowering time at about 8 weeks. You can also control how tall they get by flowering while still short. I would say about 8 inches then flower. That is what I do and they never outgrow the growspace.

in seedling and veg stage you should be able to fit quite a few little pots in there.
it would be a good 5-6 week seedling growth room, but for flowering you could probably get 2 full sized plants.
it really depends on the size of the plants.
with your area i suggest auto flowering.

Auto flowering is lame and gay. Plants need to be mature to get quality smoke. My plants take a crap on my friends who 12/12 from the jump.
