how long have you left you're indoor grow unattended?

just wondering how long people have gone without checking their indoor grow. I'd imagine hydro could go alone longer than soil.

I'm just finishing up a DWC grow and I think I only went three days without checking up on it. Has anybody ever gone a week? two weeks?? longer?

and on that note, where's my bong?

I cant even go a day without checking on mine, its a habit. I love too see how there doing every day.

oh yea, i guess i meant leaving them alone because of a long weekend away, a vacation etc..

I think as long as you water them before you go you should be alright, at least for 4 to 5 days.just my opinion.

I've left plants(soil) unattended up to like 7 or 8 days
I watered real good before I left, they werent looking so happy when I returned
they were alive, but thirsty..bounced back within an hour after watering them

yea best i have is like 5-6 days was super busy working school girls didnt have time to sleep more than 3 hours a day and it was in my closet

I've gone 9 days, I just filled up a drainage pan with water and let the plant suck it up as it needs.

I left for 7 days. Watered them good right before I left and they were a bit dry when I returned, but still kicking. I gave them a good dose of water and they were back to normal.

Would you believe me if I'd say a month?

I'm gonna start a new thread soon about how to do that. Me thinks it may be useful for growers that can't take vacations or don't wanna get anyone else involved in their grow op.

Iv never gone more then a few hours cant really help it every morning at 7am i get up to turn the lights on and look them over never really been forced to lev them alown but this is my first grow take a look at my grow room and let me no wot u think

2 weeks. And often. Just did a 2 month job. Home every other weekend.

But I'm set up for it. pan-n-tilt cams in the veg and flower rooms. pumps, fans, lights all controlled via a PLC and/or home automation. Can check on them via cell phone or laptop and adjust things as needed.

(I grow in soil)

I try to wait longer and longer everyday,,, you know they do need their alone time,,, so Ive been doing this for about a year now and it seems to be workin, Im up to almost 20 minutes without lookin in on them.....lol

I have to check mine all the time..I dont have enought space to use my timers so I have to manually do all my switching..it sucks. after one more harvest i should have my system down and set up some timers, hopefully get my life back

Way back in the day when I was young and foolish I left about a dozen 2-3 week old plants for about 7 days. They were in soil on 12/12 from seed, and I gave them what I thought was a good soak before leaving town. When i came back they were just about dead BUT each one and a single hard sticky bud about the size of a golf ball on it. I had to start over, but did manage to get about a half oz of fairly good smoke out if.

Bud in 4 weeks????????? WTF!!!!!!!!

I've left my plants for 6 days with no trouble growing in hempy buckets.

Yeah mind you this was 20 odd years ago so memory is a little foggy. The budlets may have been more marbles than golf balls. But yeah, I remember clearly little sticky buds on tiny little dried out plants. I remember being worried that the smoke would be crap but it was actually pretty good. I think they had just started to flower when I left town and I'd just culled the boys. Freakiest thing. It was like the girls knew the end was near and were desperately trying to reproduce before they croaked. That strain (good bagseed as I recall) did flower pretty quickly if you did 12/12 right from seed.

But don't try this at home. If I hadnt' fucked up I'd have harvested many times more than what I did.

i check on mine atleast 3-4 times a day. growing hydroponically you can almost watch them grow. durring the veg stage, no two days will look the same.
