How long before I rescue him?

I was just walking down the street and my dog noticed this cat stuck behind a metal fence. Someone has given him water but how did he get in there and why hasn't he come out?

Has he been naughty and been chucked outside by the owners?
He definitely wasn't there last night because my dog would've noticed.

He'll be in direct sun tomorrow morning with shade temps hitting the 90'sF.

Well? What do you do?IMG_1224.JPG

Help the poor baby!!! Even if u just bring it water....can't u call animal rescue??
Not yet, I need to see what happens because he's in a very strange place. Maybe not accidental. He's in the shade now but he's black and looks really fluffy.

He's young, evident as he hissed and displayed his teeth at my dog.

I'm not sure which front door they are but I can ask and find out.

Otherwise he needs to have a white sheet shading that area in the morning.

He looks healthy and not like a stray.

Yes try and find the owner....if my babies got out I hope people would help bring them home! We have missing pets pages on Facebook here...maybe see if ur city has one and post a pic....it's usually friends who recognize the pet...it honestly think the baby got stuck there...seriously kittens can get into small places...had to pull my Ali out of the couch a few times...ya inside lol

The reason I can't keep this street cat is because I've already got one! My cat has the feline virus and can't go near any other cats.

I get on very well with my vet and we have cat rescue places here.

id say go without your dog, walk up to him and see if the cats affectionate, cats are pretty smart like that and id say if you put ur hand up to the grate and he comes up to you and like rubs all over the grate..thatd be all i need to break that shit..find a weakness of the gate, a shitty weld you could saw through or take some heavy bolt cutters to..

just cracking a can of tuna or canned cat food far enough away so you coax him outa that lil cage he's in i bet would work, especially if he/she's hungry
