How I accelerate fade in soil

pHing your water to 4.0 is a good way to lower the pH in the pots by 0.1 - 0.5 but it won't change the pH of the pot to 4.0. The medium is a huge buffer to what amounts to a few drops of weak acid so nullifies any large drop in pH. Certainly won't make a big enough change to cause lock-outs.

Now if you changed a hydro system to 4.0 that might do it. Would sure screw up the grow if left long.

Man, Im in day 13 of dry, and this stuff went from dank to hay to dank...it may take 17-18 days before this is ready to buck and trim. It's still damp... 65 degrees, 55%RH. Super huge colas tho, and did a no pre trim hang. It is in sections tho, and not whole plant hang.
Yea I get that hay smell mid dry. When I meant a few days it was just a bud to last me until the rest was ready. Normally takes a couple weeks like u said with those environmental conditions.

Keeping some larger leaves really helps draw out the drying phase

This thread is fucking ridiculous.

No worries on what you do with your plants OP however giving advice on how to do this is just harming new growers knowledge.

Congratulations you have made multiple people on this site dumber.
To me the op wasn’t necessarily telling people how to grow their plants, it sounded to me more like they were sharing a strategy they’ve discovered for achieving a fade. I’ve browsed the forums a lot and I’ve never seen this mentioned.

You never saw it mentioned because it isn't a thing. If it was it would have been found out long ago and you would have seen lots about it.

Now droughting is a thing and I'll be trying that in future grows.

I’ve been doing the same thing as op, as an experiment, for the last few weeks. I’m using sulfuric acid but I’m not measuring ph I’m just winging it.
It’s a thing now, or at least an experiment.

All the commercial weed these days taste low key a little bit like chalk. I think it might have to do with all the cal mag everyone is dumping in their pots.
Maybe if they added some low ph water with sulfuric acid at the end of flower the cal mag would turn to gypsum and mag sulfate.
Just a bro science hypothesis.

Ive read about this,, it pushes the plant to increase trich production
It looks good and has some science behind it. I already forget to water my plants often enough so may not see any difference. :D

That's going to be a good batch! My best ever batch was dried at 55%, and now that's what I shoot for every time. Those big colas scare me though, I think of them as botrytis landmines-but you guys run an AiROS right? Just curious if you've had any botrytis issues since using the AirROS?

You can bet commercial growers aren't wasting CalMag but a lot of home growers think the more you use the better like it's the magic bullet or something.

The taste is more strain related and so many people grow inbred mongrel breeds that all taste the same and have such a convoluted family tree it's anyone's guess what the final product really is. Big commercial growers just churn it out so it's equivalent in quality to Budweiser and that ilk as far as beer substitutes go.

My pH Down is 96% sulphuric acid but I never use more than 1/4 of the recommended CalMag even tho I only use RO water. Even in DWC I never had low Ca problems. Epsom Salts for extra Mg and S in flower tho. S plumps up the resin glands and is the 'secret ingredient' in a lot of bud boosters. I add some Flowers of Sulphur to my medium when mixing it up. This is the sulphur collected from around volcanic vents. Smells just like they say Hell smells like. :)

Your bro science hypothesis would probably work in a test tube but there's so much for the acid to react with in a pot of medium it wouldn't do much in there. 4 or 5 drops of the stuff I have would drop a 50L tote down to 5.2 from 6.4. Cleans the toilet bowl real good too but switched to muriatic acid for that. :)

I been smoking buds with a tesla coil like electric arc, literally zapping it on fire.

I can tell which flowers have more fertilizer\additives\pesticides, because it all reacts differently, and even produces different colored gasses.

Stuff that has the obvious fade, burns so much cleaner and doesn't taste like licking a 9 volt battery.

You can try to debate my theory, but there is no one else on the internet that has tested my high potheses
