I read an interesting article talking about the health of Michigan Counties and how they rank and what the criteria is used in the ranking process. Here's a portion of the artcle along with links to the full artcle and the complete statewide rankings.
"The 2012 County Health Rankings report ranks Michigan counties according to their summary measures of health outcomes and health factors. Counties also receive a rank for mortality, morbidity, health behaviors, clinical care, social and economic factors, and the physical environment. Those having high ranks are estimated to be the healthiest.
Pat Remington of County Health Rankings said the findings can be used to effect change.
