How do you tell the difference between hemies and males?

Have you tried adding a UVB or do you just stick with the multi spec MH?
MH has uvb light. (not as much as a light made for UVB) I have started using HPS now too in th mid-late stages of flowering. I still run MH the whole grow though. My origional goal way plant potiency, now I am moving to up yeild with no degrogation of quality. I am filming the whole process and hope to produce a growing DVD set.

Any suggestions on how I deal with the purple?

That is part of the problem. Give them recomended amounts. I know you don't want to burn them, but don't starve them by doing it. Put a drop of non-antibactrial dish soap in every gallon you feed them. This will help with soil penetration and also help get more o2 to your roots.
Between the 24 hour days and the under feeding, watch close in flowing for hermies. You plant is a bit stressed out. Your expecting a lot from her and not giving her the tools she needs to get the job done.

My temps have been pretty good on the whole. Never been below 70 and once hit about 88 but generally they are between 76 & 80 had a couple of hot days 86, but the last 3 days they have been high 70s.

then I have to say you are doing very well with temps....not that its that hard for you over there in the summers....lol..BTW dunno if I mentioned but I love England...been there nine times...sis lives there....few other family members...been all around Europe a few times...wish I could move man...you have great beer too. anyway...yeah I obviously miss it. usually come out for two or three months at a time......but not in the last two years. wow I am so off damn topic...im done....anyway...I havent been payin a lot of attn to anyones grow lately but my own since it has been changing so much. I got everything under control for the most part so I am gonna go read through your grow journal and this thread right now and I shall be back with what is hopefully a rep+ answer...lol...I am just kidding kids....be back after these messages :joint:

alright...it seems everything has been covered...the purple is caused by phosphate deficiency. that is my answer for ya brotha....some times if temps get low for a bit they can get purple but you arent having that so...I have faith you can get it fixed up. they look great though...no doubt! Wheelerman and cloudflyer...thx boys. :D....and cloudflyer sorry again man...you know I am a fan of what you got goin on. Now...back to the topic at hand....sorry Bmad...phosphate deficiency...that is my guestimation....and as I previously stated...risking my precious.....I still stand by my previous statement about hermies...if you have a place to flower them then do it...just be real careful about pullin the nuts off......best to remove the whole branch...I know you dont want them just an option since you see what I got from mine...some good fuckin smoke dude. anyway...you know your plants look great and your baby girl we talked about is even more exciting for me to watch since I called her out. she will be a fine one :peace::joint: mmm mmm....bloody good plant mate

its gotten as low as 65 here at night... no apparent problems, and its a huge difference from the 110 degree completely dry days.....

If I start a thread about sexing and stressing my plants, will you come and visit it? I did a very bad thing over the weekend and have killed about 7 out of 25 plants, one was a known female (every feature I found indicated womanliness) and one was a known male (his balls, they hung low). Every other plant has me quite unsure. In the meantime, I either overwatered entirely, or actually burned them with fish emulsion in my efforts to stop chlorosis (now it's a whole lot worse than chlorosis). I can't believe I pulled such a boner. It's been three.. no, four days since I did it and I'm watching more plants poop out and I'm kicking myself in the ass! I did flush them this morning because it's the start of what's supposed to be a burner of a week, plus the smoke from all these fires has gotten really bad again.

If your using soil and have any over, what I did when I burnt the crap out of one of my plants I flushed it a few times but it was not responding at all so then I re-potted using fresh soil, I left the bit of soil the roots were holding onto and put it in the new pot, the plant has recovered fine.
I hope you manage to save some seamaiden, good luck.

Hermaphrodite is almost as good as a male, but you DEFINITELY (probably) don't want to breed it. But, some are saying you can get some decent budlinesss out of it.

I keep sayin...lol...two seeds in this one...one and a half ounces dried and cured...and it was de-fuckin-licious like fresh lemonaid.. so...throw em away if you all want...but I plan on keepin mine separated with a little extra tlc for some thc. :joint: maybe im just not spoiled yet...but I hope to be soon...lol:peace:
