How do i hook up a computer fan for venting

I got a 17inx21inx21.5in grow box.
And i see many small computer fan hook ups.
Before i go out and get one i wanna know what wireing i need, whats da best fan/power supply in terms of noise control and cfm.

Remeber i have no clue how to do this at all and where 2 get the power from

I would just get duct boosters, they are wired to wall plugs. If yu need it be be filtered, than a small impeller is needed. But for my box I use duct boosters.
You can ask the guy you buy them off, he would know wiring ..

super easy to do if you want to put a plug on it get yourself a 12v mobile phone charger strip back the wires on both the fan wich you can rip from an old computer in any good back ally,

and the end of the phone cablle and add one to each wire they work both way but if color co-ordinated you should do it like that also remember to wrap the exposed cable with eleccy tape and make sure the two seporate wires on each appliance dont touch when they are wraped as this will short circut and burn out

ill try and find the lill vid on outube i used 2sec brb ..... .... ok here it is there ok for small grows have used em many a time you can add up to two per plug but this will make them a lill slower but good for blowing on clones more evenly also if you need to buy a fan they can be bought for pennies

hey brick hows it goin. First question would be is what size room or box are you trying to vent. Second unless its really small I would get a bigger fan. Also if your using that computer fan it is most likely dc powered. Meaning you cant just get the power out of the wall. if it is dc powered you have a few options one is you have a power supply for the computer it came out of. Second you could most likely wire it up to an 12v ac adapter. If your like me you have a couple ac adapters laying around.

EDIT :: how about a bathroom exctractor fan there like £25 for a kit with a 20 - 25w fan ducting and covers also the ducting is perfect for fitting a carbon filter there worth the pennies and cen get em from any diy and hardware store and supermarkets

just got my self an old cooker hood from a mate and tooke the fan out stil has the speed controll attached so it is ace just took like 6 hours to clean all the shit off it

If you have an old phone charger you could use that to power it thats what i did.
But the voltage and amperage has to be the same.
