I have had a Blackberry kush plant in a 16 oz cup for about 2 months without problems....when you star to flower is when the space is going to fill up quick.
Trust me, I've seen some really REALLY huge plants come out of planting them in cups. There was one on this forum, which was HUGE. Depends on your skills, I mean a noob no way, you need some good experience. You can get those plants high.
im just starting them in them until their big enough to put out. i have a few that are at the 3rd set of leaves and already a root is coming out the bottom. i was hoping i could keep them in there until i could see who is male/female but i dont wanna affect how big theyll be. any input? thanks to all who replyd

Even if there is no more room for roots, if you keep proving the plant everything it needs, there isnt any reason why it can't grow to its full potential. You should check out the hydroponic threads.
