Hot Pepper ID

Hey guy. A Mexican guy at work gave me a few of these extremely hot peppers the other day and I didn't catch the name. Not as hot as a habanero, but still hot enough that 4 hours later I took my contact lenses out and after washing my hands at least 3 times it was still hot enough to sting my eyes. His english isn't all that great and I can speak so-so spanish, but still things get lost in translation sometimes. They are about 3/4-1". They're weird, they actually start off kind of sweet and have a good pepper taste to them, then about 5 seconds later hit you like a sledgehammer.

Yeah they do, but they are much smaller and WAY hotter. The guy told me the Spanish name like 3 times but I kept forgetting it. I know it started with a "ch" (no not chili).

Just curious because I want to save some seeds and try to grow them, and I know everyone who sees or tries them is going to ask what the name is.

I would guess them to be Fiestas, Serranos or Tabascos. All are about that size and all are pretty hot. They could also be Machos.
