We talking 2 - 315s or 2 630s? ...if 2 315s..i think you will be sitting good with light. I would shoot for 3 - 315s if possible. With rectangular footprints i feel like its justified to use the 315s and sacarfice some intensity / penetration for better even coverage when working with any foot print thats not square or have at least 4ft in width and length or more. The 315s cover a 3x3 pretty well. So having 2 in a 6x3 will do pretty well. But even better with 3 - 315s. I feel like 630 might be to intense since theres only 3 ft in width

I was talking about 2 630s. And Yaa I have 600s over them now. But usually run 18 plants in my 4x8. It was either 3 315s or 2 630s. Consensus seems to be the 315s here from you guys

I have been planning to use 3 315’s over a 3.5’ x 7’ area when I replace my hps finally. They have been running same ballast and reflectors over 4 years. Inline and circulation fans too.

Gotta couch for sun system reflectors and Galaxy ballasts and hyper fans after like 4.5 years with no issues. Still all works fine.

I think I’m gunna buy 3 after I harvest in the next month or so. You plan a journal?

No I just post randomly on a couple sites. And I’m using my 315 in the 3x3 for now.[/QUOTE
Holy shit 18 plants?? Damn thats alot. I usually try and stick to 4 plants per 4x4. Just less work watering for me lol
I use 6x6 blocks on a drip system. Not taking up much space lol.

I’ve attached a pic from first in veg this run. Goin thru flower now

So what's the verdict are these ceramic hps? I really don't want to read 12 pages to find out. My guess would be they suck

Well I have been burning through old bulbs with a lot of life left on them lately but if I can get one and run it on a Galaxy Grow amp in my air cooled blockbuster I will run it next to a 600w super hps.

If that's the only response aftet 12 pages they really suck

It is ridiculous to think a company with such strong history would spend the money to design and manufacture a bulb that sucks.

Growers house has determined in their test that it is 15% more efficient then the super hps 600 w and has a natural light with a fuller spectrum.

It seems only the full system is available so far so no one has much to go on.

Hello it’s been a minute since I posted I love cmh it gets good yield for the size and I did great with them on Autoflowers something about autos they love cmh but for my photos I run two rooms 10’x20’ each I run 2 600 watt bulbs every 5 foot x 10 foot but I stagger the bulbs in the one room I am running sun master full nova and super hps single ended the other room I run solis tek 4K de and 2k de and I stagger the first 2 in 5x10 is 2k than 4K next 5x10 is 4K than 2k than next 5x10 is 2k than 4K last 5x10 is 2k than 4K I do the same with full nova and super by far the solis tek room out yields but I’m sure that is because they are de bulbs sunmaster only makes 600 watt full nova in single ended no de except 1000watt they make full nova de-but the solis tek room set up this way out performed my old set up wich was 630 watt de cmh I use adjusta wing reflectors both rooms and pulling 1 kilo per light on average by staggering lights and using adjustable wing reflectors it gets great mixed spectrum cover and the de has a lot more Uv so my potency is higher I’m just switching all over to de both rooms will be using solis de I don’t rep for them I actually use sunsystem se/de 600 watt etelligent ballast for both rooms this is probably the only ballast other than solis tek I would use for these bulbs I will post pictures of next grow after switch and on last note the full nova room out performed the 630 de cmh room also now other companies like ipower are making a bulb similar to sun master for a lot cheaper check it out I think the key is adjustable wings and staggering bulbs though thank you

Its designed for the far red which horticulture studies have shown by professor Bruce bugsby that far red tricks cannabis into thinking it's in the shade which inevitably produces more biomass to avoid the "shade" and absorb more sunlight increasing photosynthesis it's better if combined with a cmh or a super hps do your research youtube Bruce bugsby processor of plant science and horticulture why do you think all these new leds have all white light with red diodes placed throughout it's not because someone said well we know red helps promote flowering thiers alot more to it than that. Understanding the reasoning behind it with reliable sources usually clear alot up. (GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND)

Also most quantum sensors dont detect past the 700 or 750 nm range so with that being said thiers alot of light that does affect the growth that due to recent studies is actually photo reactive far red is referred to as the forgotten photon because people never really knew much about it until recently but it truly is more photosynthetic then we understand even presently. Studies are still being conducted conclusions still not came to but the fact remains now that over 750 nm 1000 percent without a doubt has a benefit to cannabis but that rapidly declines once you get into the infrared which is obviously mostly just heat at that point.

You know that IR light used in the right amount before lights out actually converts into red.. soo if you use it right it could be a huge boost. Just a little info on IR.
