HONEYCOMB Help!

Hey so I've made about 8+ batches of bho now and need help making it better. Don't have all the pump spec at the moment but was wondering what I need to do to fix my problem. My honeycomb is dark brown and has a clay texture. I blast onto my Pyrex then warm water bath for 15-20 mins then scrape together onto parchment paper. I vaccum it with a heating pad on high setting under the stainless steel chamber for 15+ hours. And once it hardens it doesn't change states. I would like to get it lighter and also harder with more of a snap. I've tried lowering the temperature and all that does it make more of a shatter/sap.

Strain , time of harvest, and the way the material was cut/stored will ALL play an effect on the color towards the end.

I think if you can get the crumble state at the lowest heat possible, you will preserve any pretty colors remaining..

Another way is to make extremely thin layers of honey comb..

The thinner the chunk. The lighter the color.. .

Another form is whipping...

But I'm not too knowledgeable there..

Whipping works air bubbles inside, lighter color.

Fresher material usualy makes lighter colored end product, other than that I think color is strain dependent...comb looks nice tho man

Thanks guys for the replys! I was thinking of maybe dryin the bud more as I have read the drier it is the lighter I Would get as less chlorophyll would get in. But
you think it's the opposite?

Not exactly sure what temperature it is getting to but the bottom of chamber is hot but u can still touch with ur hand but only for couple seconds until it's too hot to keep touching. I haven't got a thermometer yet.

As for the texture anyone know why it is still clay like and not cracker like. I feel like there must still be moisture which could br butane. It was vaccummed for 15+hours. Should I be going longer? Doesn't seem like it changes after it honeycombs. Which that takes about 7-8 hours. The other 6-7 hours it doesn't really change. Is it my pump? Should I go longer? More heat?
Also is it bad for my pump to be running continuously for 10+ hours?

yes its bad to keep your pump running. if it ever overheats and shuts off, youre fucked. the risk is NOT worth the reward.

no its not bad for it to run that long as long has you keep good oil in it...... lets start this up again lol *twitch stirring the theoretical bucket of shit on this*
ask any HVAC guy, i have left mine running for 36 hours straight

but what he is saying is true, i have had a power switch melt and someone else on this forum has had it happen to. but i was told from HF that the pumps i had actually had a short in them that cause them to do this.

better safe then sorry in most cases because if your pump shuts off or melts the vacuum in the chamber will pull the oil out of your pump and into your chamber and mix with your wax ask Guzias actually nvm dont ask him i think he is still upset about it lol

there isnt really much reward, not really much proof the only ground that i have to stand on is that when i seal the chamber and turn off the pump the bubbles dont bubble as fast and steadily slow down
i am starting to think my chamber has a leak, even with a new one i would probably still run it continuously

Yah I'm going to get one. I guess I should eliminate that questions before I start asking more. Maybe after it honeycombs I need to raise the temperature to get it to continue to purge cuz after it hardens I don't get me of a hange of state. But then again I haven't purged for over 15 hours and I don't know if it's hot enough but if it's honeycombing it should be. When I had lower heat it was a shatter/wax/honeycomb mixture. With lowest heat I've only achieved a sappy shatter sorta cracks but also flexable if handled. I personally enjoy smoking what I'm making but there is always room for improvement I just wanna continue to make better product and shut up my friends that "had better bho before"
