Is it going on tonight? Everything looks great Homer. Met up with KMK and tried out some of my 2 week cured G13 Haze. He can give you the smoke report - but we missed you. Interesting place and vibe. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the results here.

hey everyone,

first things first: the harvest is done. . it took me so long to finish that most of you non-west coasters won't see this till tomorrow (monday). sorry about that, but hopefully the delay won't take too much away from the experience.

here's my plan of action.... reply to all your comments, vape up some fresh scissor hash, upload some pics, and describe the harvest process and outcomes. hope you enjoy!

Thanks bro! yea, leave it cure.... try not to have any pressure at all on the seed.... that's why you see flat spots on some seeds. it could ruin it! wait till it gets so dry that is falls out on it's own. then seal it up for rainy day!!! I always write the name of the strain and the date i found it....

well, turns out that "seed" either wasn't a seed or i lost track of it in the harvest... maybe it will show up later, but thanks in any case for the advice on how to deal with a fresh seed. i'm sure it will come in handy if not now, then for sure in the future.

I burnt one in a bowl and almost lost the entire thing, one wasn't developed and the last one was perfect and very "round" which is more of a female trait opposed to football shaped. Anyways good job on the seed. It looks like both of us have a very mysterious grow ahead of us. The seed will be tucked in that pod pretty well so stoney was right, don't put any pressure on it, one of my popped when i tried to twist the calyx off.

thanks grandaddy!! and good to see you pop in for the harvest. like i said above, i lost track of it during the harvest. if it's really a seed, it will probably show up when i do the second trim (from dry to jars), and if i see it, i'll take real good care of it . ok, details on the blue cream harvest below...

that's awesome bro, i'm really happy you and kmk met up even though i couldn't make it. glad that venue worked out well for you. i look forward to meeting up with both of you at some point, maybe at one of these conventions around here in the next couple months. i really hope we can compare each other's g13 amnesias!!



thanks for all the replies guys. i got back home from my trip at around 6pm. it took me about 4 hours to harvest. it's gonna take a while to upload the pics and everything but i'll say this:

the bad news: powdery mildew had a chance to spread during the 3 days of darkness. i couldn't get humidity low enough. anyway, long story short, a lot of the sugar leaves had PM on them, so i had to toss away the trim instead of saving it to make cannabutter. quite a shame, because there was so much of it and it was so damn frosty, but i don't want to take any chances with moldy butter. luckily the vast majority of the buds were PM-free, so i will make sure it stays that way through the dry and cure.

the good news: the wet weights of both girls surprised me, in a pleasant way. anyone who's still up want to venture a guess? i'll post the answer with the pics in my next post.

BTW...Look like some quality, dank buds brother, can't wait till we get together for a lil smokey smoke. Well, you're coming back from a trip, and I'm going on a trip in a few hours...but it turns out our timeshare has free wireless, so I'm bringing the computer! Haha, and the Flipcam too, maybe I'll find some hookers to film...lol...anyway, sleep well, brother. I'm trying to get tired, but it just ain't happening.

Looking forward to the smoke report .... I've been with ya since the first PM setin and have been pulling for these babbies to pull threw the whole way !!!

noooooo...lol. sorry dude, i also wanted to post harvest pics at the same time but all the skiing really got to me, i was just exhausted last night. fyi, i was chopping and trimming between 6:30pm and like 11pm, so i'm sure our actual harvesting overlapped, right?

i'm gonna go check all the glorious details of your harvest in a min after i upload my pics. stoked you'll have the flipcam and computer rolling in vegas - we'll keep in touch! and then dueling smoke reports when you get back?

thanks dread! a big pic update is coming at the bottom of this post, but to answer your questions, i'm hanging them to dry in the closet... not in side the box, just on hangers in the closet. i have two true airs working blowing a little bit of fresh air up toward them, but very gently, there's no movement of the branches. temp is about 70 and humidity 40. hopefully this will work out, but i'll be checking the PM situation twice a day if i can. after 3-4 days of this, they go into glass jars, and i'll be reporting on the curing process, don't worry . from what kmk says, your g13 is DANK brother, can't wait to try some!

i decided not to reveg, partly because my gf is requesting a break from growing (you know how it is) and also because i want to start fresh with some healthy PM-free plants or seeds next time. don't wanna deal with the PM issue again, that's for sure. thanks bro.

stoney, yeah it was crappy throwing away all that trim (you'll see pics below), and i considered the idea of cooking it with the PM, figuring that the heat would kill any harmful spores, but my girlfriend gave me a worried look so i said fuck it lol.

thanks a lot stoney, you've given me great advice in the last couple months man. the scissor hash i didn't try yet, but i took a picture just for you (last one on this update). and the stinkiness is confined to the guestroom for now, so all is good

sorry for the crappy quality, there was no good lighting and i didn't want to expose the buds to too much light in any case. still taking guesses for wet weight. i'll give you guys a hint: the two plants were very close, only 8g apart from each other, but i won't say which one was ahead
