In the very last pic, it looks as though the buds are starting to swell (for a sativa anyway). How many weeks has she been in flower bro? I cannot wait to get my Mujanje Gold seeds started next season.

Truly inspirational work, big pat on the shoulders to you from down in Texas!

Hi All - Thanks for the great comments. When I check I see 5 stars. Hmmmmm

These girls are getting close. More brown hairs every day and the trichs are starting to turn cloudy. The way they keep stacking I think I could let them go two more months and they would just keep adding more layers. My concern is the older growth is starting to get brown so how do I balance the old and the new? I always seem to harvest too early so this time I want to go as long as possible. Anybody have any advice or pictures for when to tell the Sativa is ready?

Cheers,
Mo

So when I was taking pictures yesterday to check the trichs (FlowaMasta how do you get such good trich macros?) I got this shot. My eyes are so bad I did not even notice the budworm until I looked at this shot! Went back out with my glasses and found about ten of these fuckers throughout my garden.

Bugged,
Mo

it's a real pain with these because the colas dont really get that dense, finished feeling like normal strains. Ive noticed they start to turn yellower by the day and really show their colors when theyre in the last week or two. and about the old growth turning brown thats wierd. is it the buds or leaves? if its theleaves then you're all good, but definitely got a problem if its nuggz.-edit- nvm i saw the budworms. i'd say you have another month. another piece of advice from me is that with these types of sativas you will have a lot of amber trichs at harvest because they have such a long life, just wait until there are almost no clear trichomes then cut it if its ready. those are gonna be some tasty-frosty nuggz man!

Some of them do have that loose Sativa haze bud structure but a few of them are as dense as I have ever seen - like these:

I absolutely agree with that. I have grown Mulanje Gold, but I have grown A WHOLE LOT OF NEVILLE'S HAZE. And even thought it's not a pure sativa, me and my mates have all let our Neville's Haze pretty much "brown the fuck out" come harvest time. I have had two extremely stretchy, skinny-stemmed plants look like they were fucking dead before I harvested.

I did the same with my Mulanje Gold. I pretty much let it die naturally. Best smoke ever bro. Holy Smoke might have gotten seeds from Afropips for all I have heard...but I don't care. The Mulanje I have grown pretty much destroyed anything I have smoke in my whole life. I saw yellow shadows out of the side of my vision after smoking it. My friends won't touch it because they swear I laced the shit.

Thanks for the info - I feel way better now :)

Got some great macros with my new camera:

Big Clone Bud with Mozambique Poison Pollen:

WOG Flower in the rain:

I can see the trichs again! I knew my old camera was not quite right.
