hole saw size

Does anyone know the hole saw size for a 6" net pot? I have looked everywhere for the answer with no luck. I thought of a jig saw but the lip is about an 1/8 inch. I may just get bucket lids and epoxy them to it and cut the hole bigger. It is a pain in the ass putting them back in the hole without disturbing the roots. I dont remove them too often but like to be able to if needed. I did measure but I cant put the ruler exactly to the edges

Man an 1/8 of an inch isnt much. But you can just measure the diameter and subtract 1/4 of an inch and thats your hole saw size? 6 inch is a stanard light outlet if that helps lol

yea I know I sound like an idiot asking but didnt want to chance buying a 40.00 bit and it be off an 1/8" and not work. I ended up cutting a hole in a plastic lid with a razor blade. I still need to cut the rim off of the lid. I will now cut a larger hole in the top of the DWC site so I dont disturb the roots if i need to remove them. The plastic rings that I fashioned will lay flat on top of each other so I can put them a bit closer together.

Ideally a 6 inch net pot would go in a 6 inch hole but I've found all net pots are not created equal.
I have some 6 inch netpots that don't even set down flush with the cooler lid, they stick up 3/4 of an inch or so.
On the other hand at the same shop different 6 inch netpot falls right thru the 6 inch hole, that goddamn hole saw alone cost me 55 bux. Should have stuck to 5 inch, you can get a whole set of hole saws at harbor freight for under 15 bux but they only go up to 5 inch.

thanks for the heads up bro! You have given me some good tips! I guess I will just start buying 5" in the future. Hey have you ever listen to the podcast on www.dudegrows.com? Some great info. They just reviewed the new Spectrum King LED 400 series. Reports of 1.8 grams per watt. Its in the beginning of episode 64. It is impressive but for 1150.00 it better be! Check it if you already haven't!
