Its got very a similar spectrum as the Hortilux 1000w HPS, which for decades was the HID standard.

This one may have dethroned it, if its reliable, which Ishio is good stuff, and probably is reliable.

Its one powerful Mfr at 1000w and 2100umol. Im sure you have to run that sucker 36-40 inches from the top of the canopy. Will probably about cover a 5 x 5.

The 600watt version of this lamp puts out 1150ppf, far lower than than it's LED rivals at the same wattage.

Plus, there's quite a lot of yellow in the spectrum:

It could just be my perception of things but that spectrum doesn't look any good for veg or flower.
People will do what they do in these strange new times.
It's kinda known what hps spectrums do to bud quality / density.
It's ok though - all these new companies can keep chasing the wrong path only concerning theirselves with µmoles rather than PBAR.
What do you think the efficiency rating of the 600HPS would be if you actually counted all of the radiation outside of 700nm? ;)

If I am not mistaken the USHIO 2100µmole lamps are using DE arc tube chemistry.
The hortilux lamp is definitely much "Whiter" to the eye. I have both of those lamps here.

The USHIO lamp covers a 5x5 beautifully at 24" height in a proper air cooled reflector. :peace:

Sorry to burst your bubble but that spectrum is photo morphological dog poo. Let's see what you can do with that spectrum over some lettuce plants. Care to step up and engage my challenge in my lettuce thread?
ROFL, not bursting my bubble. I won't be growing any lettuce as I use my lights for pot but thanks for asking. As for your claim that the spectrum I am using is dog poo I have to say at least you made me laugh. I find that claim wrong but than again, opinions very.

I wonder what the difference in performance will be compared to the 600 Rspec? Both the Scorpion and Rspec 600 say 60 to 600 watts. These new designs seem to have more heat sync and spread yet both state good to flower a 5x5. Be interesting to see what the new design does on a practical level, especially since I just bought the Rspec, lol. Oh the joy of technology, there is always a new model coming down the pike.
Always a upgrade available. Kinda like buying a car!

You know this is a weed forum right? Who the fuck is growing lettuce here?

And here's a pic I took last night of a clone only Green Crack at 4 weeks since flip growing under those dog poo Rspec's.
