What y’all think?? I just built it today. It’s for a 36x36x6 tent and I put together a 30x30 frame. Used 1/8 angle aluminum. Some nuts and bolts. Obvs has to drill the holes out. Used some 18/2 stranded. Home Depot didn’t have any solid smh. Didn’t wanna drive any where else so whatver. I put electrical tape around connection points to avoid copper from touching each other or the aluminum. Just waiting on my ballast to come in and wire it. And suggestions on how to ground the frame just in case.

A separate ground wire from the frame running to the ground on the outlet box would be all you need. I have not seen small gauge solid core wire available at places like Lowes. Instead go to an actual electric supply house. They should have it.

I would run all wiring externally. Much easier to trace for any issues later.
Got it all hooked up and in the tent. Ngl it looked brighter in my tent with just my 100 v2 than the 4 qb120 I have in there now. I’m still assuming I’m better off with this setup. Also concerned about the height.. I can prob raise it some more but not
Much maybe a foot. I’m growing blue cookies from crop king seeds. Hoping they don’t get to big

How high is it over the canopy? Or where it will be? Just a foot?

What driver did you end up using on this fixture?

Honestly I need opinions. I am an electrician but apprentice still. I did all my wiring in daisy chain. ( what is used to when I hang lights in buildings) I was reading that I was supposed to wire in series. Should I switch it to series or I’ll be fine w the daisy chain function

Sez on the website it is recommended to wire in series with that driver

You should lower the lights and dim the driver if you want less intensity.
I took off the adjustable hangars cause it’s just a mission to keep lowering and higher if w the fans in the tent. But would it be bad if I higher the intensity? And leave it at the height it’s at

No it’s fine to do that you’re just wasting a little energy is all..
Fuck it I’m rich.. lol jk. Fuck it tho fr when I start moving around and messing s things in there it gets warm to about 85 in my tent and start sweating like a bitch. So fuck it lol. I do wanna find a way to cool my tent to like 78ish w the lights on

Re wire your light, you know it makes sense.... lol
Then it'll work properly.
I know smh. I’m planning on doing it tom. I’ll post and update when I got it all set up. Also got a piece of 2x4 so I can screw my ballast on to it and leave it resting on top of my tent so it’s not drawing the heat into the tent. I’ll have the wire going in through a duct hole into the light.

Yea, it's summer here so my rooms at 31°C and the plants are loving it.
Alright cool so I’m Gucci. Also one of my plant started showing yellow tips. Read and saw it was nitrogen deficiency. I wasn’t feeding my plants anything because I just transplanted about 4 days ago. But I figured I’d start veg. And I gave it some grow big and big bloom from fox forest. Will this have no affect on that or will I be ok
