Indeed. This was the theme of my long g/khw yadayada answer i never got posted yesterday. They dont sell power per w, they sell it per kwh. G/w is really only a factor if you have limited amps on your power setup.

It used to be for bragging rights when most grows looked the same and the difference between .5 and 1/g was mostly the grower.

With genetics being all over the place (quality versus yield) and styles of grow and lighting being so different its really become less significant. But its sooo sooo good breaking your old record, even if you know it was technicly not a masterpiece grow. The only problem later becomes convincing people on these boards of your results cause theyre growing under different circumstances.
As soon as it turns into a dick-measuring contest you can guarantee everyone will be lying.
I've never really measured my gpw and never really discussed that aspect with any of the real world growers I chat with on the regular. I'm always changing the output of my QB boards. so I dunno wtf I would even really measure esp with a perpetual grow, I always have 2 plants finishing, 2 about halfway and 2 just starting. I know I pull around 8oz from 2 plants every 2 weeks which is just fine.

i agree just some times its good to measure yourself against yourself and see that wow, youve grown an inch:D:dunce: How much space does your two plants take up? i think you got very good results, especially in perpetual and not monocrop.

@Rocket Soul I have 6 plants in a 5x5 in 3 gal pots all organic soil. 4 QB 288's in the corners with a 315watt CMH 4100k in the middle. I'd say about 2.5 sq ft per plant. I grow mostly indica leaning hybrids so I keep them fairly short and with my setup I don't have any set veg time so 2 go in every 2-3 weeks regardless of size.

Ive used fotops plenty and they are great for an open space if their dimensions fit your space. If you offset each board with a five inch gap and run them on hundred fifty-ish watts each youll have a ceiling of light which flowers really well at around eight to ten inches. and very little lost light due to low hanging height.
