Hillary falls on the sword! but why?

so Hillary has thrown herself on the Benghazi sword, but why? this doesn't help Obama. it makes him look like he doesn't know what's going on. this definitely doesn't help Hillary's reputation either. why would she do this? i would have not said anything until after the election because it looks all sorts of bad.

better they think you're dumb than open your mouth and resolve all doubt.

Maybe because the American people deserve the truth no matter who is at fault?

Why do you think she fell on the sword? She is the head of the state department. It is becoming crystal clear that the State Department and intelligence services knew that Bengazi was a terrorist attack within hours after it happened.

What are you referring to? All I have seen is that the state department "is collecting information" to sort out what happened. Has Hillary made some statement besides that?

i don't think this is a logical move at all if you are trying to win the election. this is almost a "cut your losses" tactic so the GOP has one less thing to throw in the dems faces. but now it allows the GOP to rip them apart even further by saying Obama's foreign policy is shit and is evidenced by this admission. holy one term president batman. this is not looking good.

I am not sure how this affects the November, 2012 election but it almost certainly means that Hillary won't be around in the November, 2016 election.

There is a good chance that neither Biden nor Obama knew about the security situation in Libya.

It has already been disclosed that he didnt attend more than 1/2 of his security briefings.

The president and administration should not be all about politics and honestly the cries for the truth have become too loud to dismiss. Biden sped this up by announcing he had no knowledge of the situation in direct conflict with the state departments sworn statements that they knew.

I will hand it to Hillary here, she is a good take-one-for-the-team Democrat.

Under the "buck stops here" rule, I don't see this as alleviating Obama from the blame though.

An ambassador and 3 other people including 2 navy seals got killed on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 in a coordinated terrorist attack. There is no way this was going to look good.

In the 2011 continuing resolution, Congress, at the insistence of the House of Representatives, slashed the president’s request for embassy security and construction and forced another cut in fiscal year 2012. Altogether Congress has eliminated $296 million from embassy security and construction in the last two years with additional cuts in other State Department security accounts.
