I've got an old Brunton transit I was gifted and had forever. Always liked their gear. Substantial and accurate.

I once was asked “ do you know why there is a mirror on the back of a compass “ I replied yeah, without listening to me they then added “ it’s so the person using it can see who is lost “ …

Made it to the White mountains of NH.
A pig saw my Wa state license plate and tailgated me for over 15 miles. I kept
My cool and kept with all the intermittent speed limits from 35 to 45 To 55 on mark. Then when I hit an intersection and had to make a left she puts on her lights and quickly passes me and pulls over the dude in front of me!! Almost causing me to hit her. That dude in front of me was not even in sight until the light to turn. I don’t know what he did to get pulled over. It’s was Insane!! It was the most unprofessional pig move I have ever encountered. I had a nice hike but really don’t ever want to go up here again after this experience. It’s like so many pigs were patrolling everywhere!

Get local plates if you're sticking around.
