I am at a loss for imagery at the moment but I rode a Specialized Stumpjumper with a "Bob" trailor from Vancouver BC through the state of Washington and into Oregon. I was originally set to go all the way to the Mexico border. Something happened on the way to paradise... despite all of my training efforts my knees went in the first 18 days of the ride. In hind sight I was a little redundant with my gear and planning. I'd trained but not with that much weight.

Was an amazing ride! Although I kinda got stuck in Astoria. It was dark by the time I'd crossed the bridge and I set-up camp in a hiker/biker site on the shore next to the Peter Iredale wreckage. It rained most of the night but cleared by sun-up. As my eyes were coming into focus I started seeing all these little brown things all around my tent. As blur gave way to clarity I was camping right in the middle of a HUGE patch of liberty caps.

Lest I say again I kinda got stuck in Astoria for a little while.

This is fucking radical. Do you still ride? Still use the same setup / are you still a fan of towing a trailer? How are you enjoying this season?

If I could do anything for the rest of my life, it would be to sell my house, sell my truck, sell my children, ditch all my responsibilities and tour the entire country. Starting with the desert. So fucking beautiful.

Yes I still ride. I worked at CambriaBike for a couple years there and I built the TST Ti bike that you see in this thread under my old screen name:

    https://www.rollitup.org/t/mountain-biking.860810/page-4 See post #64 That's my baby.

This season hasn't seen me anything more than recreational rides in our east bay hills. I got a little too side tracked with this years growing season and wasn't paying as much attention to my bike. She's been getting some action again lately.

Thank you for the link. I'll definitely be bugging you for updates over there. It's good to know that there's still people out there who care about just getting out and riding their fucking bicycles.

I still have all of my gear. Instead of the Sierra Designs clip Flashlight I would've brought the OR bivy in its place on a ride like that. The tent brought creature comfort but was more than was needed. Overall it was a really fun trip even if it was cut short. I've been kinda known to do some screwy shit of duration and cadence.

Damn. Is that you Pin? Looking good man. I'd def hit it.

Mountain biking is cool. But most of the cycling out here is rich twats on the road that dont like to obey traffic laws and think they own the road. At least once a week I daydream of opening my truck door and fucking a rich, twat cyclists day up. Rich, twat cyclist.

Hey dude, this is very cool to hear. I will do my best to keep that piece of shit thread going.

I've been doing a 3-4 mile hike every morning for the past 9 months of so. I've been averaging like 60 or so miles per month. The weight has been coming off steadily. Sorry about the copd. That is fucked up.
