High Light efficiency tests (TEKNIK) - 2.47 umol/j CRI 94.2

I imagine the file he sends back to her would look like this.

They just need to send him one of their replacement PCB's with diodes not a 450$ fixture. Highest output per watt diodes and and best thermal heat transfer with this plastic edison housings, lol! Never heard such nonsense before.. We would all use them if they would be better, no?
Osram has worked with the Nasa from the beginning and Sanlight was the 1st partner developing LED's for hobby growers. The spectrums HGL use looks pretty similar to the Sanlight spectrum because they just have copied what Osram has figured out in decades and claim it their own developement, lol!
Sanlights have 2,7μMol/j system efficiency, I wonder when HGL has 2,0 without lens. With its probably even less...

The whole test grow is useless cause I can also create 1000μMol/s with 4 Mars lights. For a fair test he needs to compare them at the same wattage. Osram has proven many times that a combo from blue, green and red is most efficient as growlight BUT 3k reach almost the same efficiency and even Osram use coolwhite/CRI70, warmwhite/CRI90 + their best red and deepreds to create the white spectrum of the Sanlights with just a little pinkish tint.

Hey Corey. How many did you get? Id be on this if there wasnt some nice 90 cri options down the road...
I got 4 of the uv ones with heat sinks.
2 are for me, gona run them around 350w in a 3x3 or 1mx1m tent.
2 are for a friend but that just got complicated so im going to hold onto them for now, may end up running 4 boards softer the way im feeling.
Too much info.. lol

I defo second 4 boards softly. You would most probably get away with no heatsinking if thats an interest. Congrats on your purchase.
Cheers dude.
Now I just have to wait for my tents to be empty, I want to start with a fresh crop ready to flower under these puppies and see what they are all about.
Will probably run a batch under these and a staggered batch under QBs of equal watts per square foot. :eyesmoke:

How would you arrange them in a 3'x3'? The panels are just over 16" x 8". If you suggest a configuration, I can simulate it with the IES files.

Also, don't get me wrong, you can spread those panels out a bit, but that is the configuration that should work best with four panels in a square 3'x3'.

The arrangement is good, I'd just spread them a bit more to get even coverage all the way to the corners. Split the distance between where they are and the edge of the grow, if that makes sense?

It certainly does, and I agree. All the IES simulations I've done have shown you need to get quite close to the corners to even out coverage. Unfortunately I can't configure the above layout in the software, so I'd have to guess another 3-4" spread should do the trick.

I'm stuck with V4 on my Mac. Maybe one of you blokes with V8 can try the "windmill" configuration for me? I'd set the boards at 3.5A in a 1.2m x 1.2m room about 18" off the canopy to see how that looks.

Are you including any supplementals w your qbs? Are you planning a thread? I’d like to get a feel for hl vs unsuplemented qb, to indirectly compare to my hl vs supplemented qb ?vs 96e?.....

It will be HL vs 3k QB v1, I could compare to v2 4k but keeping that for veg, I have 2x 260w v1 kits so I can dim them to X per square foot and do similar with the HL boards.

I will start a thread here and elsewhere but It wont be for a bit, need to finish my mates plants off first which I took in as a favour.

Thanks man...when you get to it, please post link to your thread, in my thread: https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-monumentally-epic-knockdown-dragout-take-no-prisoners-slapdown-aussie-high-light-vs-hlg-288.988144/
