well guys i have been researching on this site for a month or so now and figured id introduce myself. my name is travis my main hobby is working on cars. i have been growing pot for 2 years but never harvested them. this year i plan to harvest my babies i have 5 plants 4 small and one about 6 feet tall. my tallest one was doing great till my brother split the stalk. we tied it up and i hope to hell it makes it to harvest. i still have 5 to 6 weeks. the days are changing fast in my area and im going to start having less and less time to take care of them because work will interfear with my time. i own a deer processing shop and i get extremly busy around nov 12 (about the same time i plan to harvest) when guy season kick off. well guys thats for visiting my noob thread. i dont have a digi cam worth a fuck so pics will proballly come when i get a chance.

anyone ever split the stalk about 2' its where it comes up and "Y's" will it survive?

welcome to the forum. Don't know. Did it? If the top is still growing it did. Usually grow back together alright. VV

Hi Travis! I'm fairly new also and love this site. I have learned so much here.
Anyway you sound like you have a good plan.

As far as your large split plant, I had that happen to 3 of my plants. One of the splits was 2 feet the other two were about 1 feet but they have done really well.

I just taped them up with green gardening velcro tape but you can use just about anything.

I'll add some pictures for you to see.
The 1st one is the split taped up and the 2nd is the same plant after flowering for 8 or 9 weeks.

If anything the stress made them thrive more. All of the plants are 6 feet plus.
