Here we go again

well i just decided that i had gotten rid of the mites so I flipped my plants only to discover more mites. what actually works for getting rid of mites how can I kill the eggs?? So far I dustbust the leaves then spray lately it's been with insecticidal soap, I've used Dr. Doom to, Whats neem oil do exactly? Much appreciated

So I guess I'll answer my own question, neem oil coats leaves and suffocates mites and their eggs sounds like sweet stuff, if anybodys used it before let me know how it works. thanks for all the advice everybody

Yes I guess you did. The thing about spider mites is they lay thier eggs on the bottom of the leaves and it takes about two weeks for them to hatch after you have gotten rid of the adult mites. When you spray you need to spray the 'UNDERSIDE' of the leaves. 2x a week for two weeks, then weekly maintanance.
Don't worry about that shiny stuff, it will rinse offf with regualar misting, no problem, and its not toxic anyway. VV

If anybody is raeding this thread I need Help in a abd way. I've done clones before lots, but lately I can't even get one to go, WTF??? I take cuttings at the end of the day dip them in gel and plant in moist soil, I mist with water, there off to the side of the room under a 400 mh the light is like 3 ft away, What am i missing I used to get 80 -100%

do you put anything over the plant to lock in humidity and is the light too much for a clone........................................................................

I think it has something to do with the way the planets are aligned; they just are not in the right position conducive to cloning. Neem oil appears to be very safe; I've used it with absolutely no harm. BTW, I sprayed some clones with a product called "No Wilt" and the next morning they were dead. Whatever you do, don't buy this crap. Clones seem to be a PIA for most of us. Best wishes to you guys.

Wierd stuff hey?? I've tried 3 different types of gels wilson gel, advanced nut gel, and shulz powder nothing!! on approx 150 cuttings from 3 different plants. Something is definantley up. Grow Rebel it sounds like we're having the same problems I grow in straight peat, my issue first started with gnats, then mites, I have it under control but not taken care of, If I don't figure it out I'm F***

Add some olive oil to some bug spray, spray the underside of the leaves, the oil makes the leaves slippery and doesnt harm your plants

Yeah I've definantly got the bugs under control, not gone but under control. It's takena combo of Diatemaceous earth, peroxide, soap, oil, and vacuuming, before i spray i vacuum off the plants lately i spray every 3 days, 1st with soap, then wth oil, then water , then a nutrient spray then start again, I hate F***en bugs!! But the real problem I'm having is the cloning, wtf is going on?? I even tried soaking the stems in a vinegar water solution then dipping them, I don't get it. If I hadn't taken 1000's of clones before with good success I'd never try again

oh yeah to answer you question about the dome I do use one just a general black tray with a 6 in clear dome on it, I'm kinda thinking that the insecticides are whats fu**ing me, they must inhibit root growth somehow, and I always cut after they've been sprayed with just water. I don't get it, luckily I jsut got seeds and I have plenty of males 5 out of 6 ouch!! so I'm gonna cross breed the blue god with whatever it is that I have and hope for good seeds, then I'll burn all those F***en bug into oblivion and start over... again, It's always something though isn't it? bugs, cops or asshole landlords!

clones are simple,

go read the grow faq, i use the leafs cloning method, and if it wasnt for a retarded person not putinng the dome back on, i would have gotten every cutting i took.

Ive never ever had a problem cloning

things i can think of that might cause problems

temp too low
humidity too low
soil temp too low
soil is too wet

Its the insecticides,, I sprayed my mites on my flowering plants and all of the hairs burnt then stopped growing for 3 weeks,,,f-d them up real good too, I will bet that is def. the prob.... try not doing that until after rooted.....

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the insecticides, problem is All my current plants have mites, well if i stop spraying they will anyways does anyone know if there is a insecticide that doesn't slow growth or get leached into the plant?? I figured soap would've been pretty safe, anyways I think I'm f**ek for taking my own clones for now I'm gonna pollinate some buds and start over I think. Luckily I can always just buy clones... I love BC

oh and I've read the grow faq a time or ten this isn't a case of me not knowing how to take clones something is up the plants themselves like I said I've the odd clone in the past

I honestly think you can't rid of bugs with out cleaning everything and starting over man, the best you can really do seems to be control them. I been working on them for 3 1/2 months know with no luck. As soon as I stop using an insectide and I think I've taken care of them they come right back. problem is if you miss one your fucked! The diatemaceous earth totally eliminates fungus gnats though, I used it along with peroxide killed them all within a week, and its cheap. The mites are a serious issue though. Only thing that my hydro guys can suggest is some bug bombs and shit but I can't use that stuff cause I got kids and I live with this grow.

apparently the neem oil is supposed to take of most of the eggs to so I'm hoping it helps I just started using it, I'm gonna have to spray all the way through flower I think
