I started my plants from seed thay are now 6 weeks and showing pre flowers. Should i induce them into flower and wait to see sex for sure before i pick a mom?

Oh great obiewan! Dude I'm hung-up. Couple of questions. 1st question. 2 words. Flowering stuff. Finally got my timers timed but my girls, 2 fm'd hum yummy and a couple of power skunk along with an ancient bag seed from Sonoma. The fem'd plants are reputed to put up with stress, but how do I influence the sexing of the other potentials.
2nd question. The clones I took are coming along nicely. Just moved them off the T-5 and into the big light. 2 of the indicas are becoming limp at the top and flopping over. Whaat's the cause (or caauses) and what to do about it. Nutes? Stakes. Wire round and round the mulberry bush? What?

hey man i'd really apreciate some knowledge please. i'm currently a couple of days from harvest (i think). i'm doing mr nice g13xhash plant in soil using organic nutes biobizz. i flushed for 9 days 2 more to go and leached them all about 4 days in, but the leaves still look a healthy green with very slight yellowing and some lime green. will this affect the smoke?, the bud is ready. will it b ruind because of this??? please help

i have just started my first grow. and im having troble getting my light to work i have a euro reflector(which my friend re wired an 13 amp plug to it) and a hid 400w bulb but i cant get it to work where am i going wrong ? will i need a ballast to get it to work ?? and what do you recommend on a small budget ?

hi im new to growing i have a 3ftx2x2 cupboard im running 4 25w cfl`s,i was thinking of getting a 70watt metal halide lamp do you think that is enough?the plants are about 6inches and they 16 days from seed,its flying dutchman the pure.i have nine plants in total they in 10cm deep pots.but they seem to be stretching, my friend has a flowering room but would like to keep two with me,

im new-im starting my plants under 5 42 watt compact flos. then in veg i put in 6 by 6 wht. room which has 8 compact flos (75 watt )and they have reflective hoods around them and then a 150 watt hps.is this enough to grow 5 or 6 plants to a good maturity.

my carbon filter is hugely ruducing my air flow and letting off white powder!!!! it is also letting off a burning smell!!! iv removed it now but need to know if is goin to affect my plants!!!

I dont know what's going on. Please help me. First off im trying to germinate in a glass jar, i dont know if i should put the top on or not? Some cracked though, i may have left one or two in moisture for a extra day, and i haven't noticed any root growth, so now i'm paranoid because none of my roots are as long as some of the pictures i've seen of others cracked seeds. Still i planted the cracked seeds in supposedly pretty good soil. I was scared (almost paranoid that i didn't do something right). I felt as though maybe i over watered the soil, i felt as though the water may have been too cool for the plants to grow. I've had them in my window seal for 2 days with the blinds slightly cracked to get some daylight sun. I'm hoping and praying that they will grow and pop out. Can you assist me to get these plants growing? I hope its not to late. I havent seen any mold or fungus, and the roots look white. Help me

Awesome thread.. it's pretty damn long now, so I havent sifted all the way through yet. If this has been answered let me know where.
I have some young plants right now in a GH WaterFarm. They are about 3 weeks old now, onto their third or fourth leaf set, and the younger leaves are all browning and dried out at the edges. I was using a full strength Flora Series seedling solution, 5 mL each part in 2 gallons of water. Thursday I flushed with pH'd water, to rinse the reservoir, and added a 1 mL each part Flora Series, to 2 gallons of water, and they seem to have gotten worse, still growing but the damage has spread a little more. Can post pictures if you need them. Oh and I'm growing under CFLS 6 100 W equivalents 18/6 light cycle. The lights are all positioned within 1-3 inches from the plants.
Any thoughts or remedies?

can you reccomend a cheap arse bloom nutrient?
im about to switch to flower (indoor) and growing in a hempie set up.
I outlaid money for canna veg nutrients but i think its all a crock as the cheap stuff i bought from bunnings (local hardware store) worked just as well for $6 a box.
I remember somethign about the ratios being important

Starting my grow inside, what should my hours of light be, i dont want them to be starved for light when i put them outside, should i just copy the current sun time? or exceed?

Help!!! What's goin on with my plants. Threy're about 3 inces tall, i'm running 1000 MH in a 5lx2wx6t. How often should i be watering them, growing hydro. I water them once a day and they start to drop in about 12 hrs. When i water them they perk up. I read that i'm not suppose to overwater them. Strsin is Kaya from nirvana.

when growing for seeds...how long after you notice the first seed pod...do you wait to pull the plant up to collect the seeds?
I know u do it before they open..lol..but how long is that excatly...is there a timeframe or whats the procedure in doing soemthing like this? never grown for the seeds before..but i got a bagseed,that smells like a skunk fucked a pinnapple,and looks great..but havent flowered yet..and wanna know what to do if it is a male..

I have a few plants growing indoors I was 3 weeks into flower and got SPIDERMITES! I bought some organic pesticide contain main Neem Oil I saturated my plants with it the mites went away till mid week 7 of flower then came back with a vengence I ended up having to harvest a couple days shy of 8 weeks.
Now my grow room is empty I swept, and washed down all the walls with bleach water and then I set off two Ortho Home defense foggers which contain Pyrethrins 0.050% along with N-Octyl bicycloheptene Dicarboximide 0.400% Now its been about 12 hours since treatment should I go back over all the walls with bleach water ?
any other suggestions on getting rid of these devil bastards(spidermites) before I put my new plants in?
Also if I have a couple of plants in flower say week 2 and this fogger gets on them will they be ok? they still have 7 weeks to flower so the chem(fogger) should break down correct?
Should I spray down the leaves with water ?
I want to eliminate the spidermite problem before I start a new cycle my plants could have went another week but the spidermites where destoying the leaves they did not touch the flowers just the leaves and it was happening fast !!! I hate these little pest first time I have ever had a problem and thinking I brought them in from the club I hold a card and bought my clones from the club.

Ok, I had a huge problem using Jungle Growth Pure Organic soil. You may have seen the thread in the Plant Problems forum, but basically, when I transplanted and did the fist big water after transplanting, the nutrients in the soil time released and killed one of my seedlings. The other appears to have survived. Anyway, today I repotted using an equal parts mix of Cow manure compost, perlite, peat moss and about a tablespoon of dolomitic lime.
My question is this...when should I begin to feed nutrients? One of my plants just germed and I planted today and the other is about 2 inches tall. Any suggestions on what nutrients to use? I am planning on getting Botannicare Pure Blend Pro Grow and Pure Blend Pro Bloom. Will these work? I just don't want to have to go through starting all over again. Thanks!

hello.. well i have a couple of questions. i am a newbie at this and i have 2 fem ak-47 auto flower and 1 male . they were given to me a cpl days ago and are about into their 40 day growth. what would the best nutrients to feed them and also with the nice weather would it do harm to them if i put them in the sunshine on warm days and bring them indoors back under the lights when the sun begins to fade away?
