Hello all, This is my first post after many informative learning sessions. This is my first grow, I'm running 600w mh/hps in a 31"x 31"x 71" tent. Been up and running beautifully for a week and when I went to check on my baby girls about 2 hours after lights on and....the lights WEREN'T on but fans and ballast we're running. My mh bulb blew, yes after only a week. I quickly replaced it with my hps bulb since the temp had dropped under 60°F. I still have a warranty on the shoddy bulb so it will be replaced, I just don't know when. My question is this; Will my plants be ok after going from mh to hps after a week, then back to mh when I get the new bulb? Will this cause undue stress or unwanted hormone changes that lead to stress? Or anything that might negatively impact the life of my plants. Would it be best to just leave them under the hps for the rest of their cycle? Anyone have firsthand knowledge of this issue?

If I don't get the new mh bulb within a couple weeks, would it then be pointless to change it back anyways?

Even if it's, let's say, the last 5-10 days veg. Is this just a preference thing or are u speaking from first hand knowledge of mh's veg growing superiority by comparison? I'm just trying to deduce if it will really mean that much of a difference? I TRY to refrain from the pointless, I'ma stoner.

10 days is a lot of vegging days in the life cycle of a weed plant. I don't have a MH, they cost too much money over here. I use 53W t5's to veg with. I use LED these days to flower. I used to use HPS to veg a few years ago but I found that the node spacing was too stretched out. If I had a MH I would use it regardless of how many vegging days are left.

I doubt you would have to wait a couple of weeks for a replacement bulb though. Have fun with your ladies.
