Help with hydro

I need help, i have been trying for a year, with direction from the local hydro store, and still no good tasting, smelling flowers. I just gave up on them. I need help with the gen hydro 17 gal system. I use flora 3 part. I boought all the nutrients gen hydro makes for the expert reccyling chart. I spent thousands on pods , monitoring equip, nutrients, i must admit, i am depressed, it was alot of work for nothing, i can not afford to buy new nutrient brand, im looking for someone familar with gen hydro/ flora series products to get me in the right direction. This happens often w/ hydro stores. All they want is to sell you the most shit they can. They could really care less if you grow anything.
Take a look around Newbie Central in the forum and they'll point you in the right direction.

You don't need to buy anything else, just keep it simple.

Been running GH flora for years. Its not your nutes. You can build a Stinkbud system cheap and I've had great success with it. Maybe try a new strain? Maybe your drying/curing is flawed?

its kinda hard to say whats wrong with your growing, but keep in mind what jay and hell said keep it simple or (kiss) keep it simple stupid. when i started i had a buddy, who had the place and a light and i had a light(1000watters). we started with bag seed in soil. did 72 seeds, 64 seeds got planted and 24 were female. the buds i got were shitty, but got a good yield. but i read an i read an well im still reading. an i can tell you that if you dont pay attention to the little things, things that thousands of dollars worth of equipment cant tell you like if your plants are happy. every type of salt in your nutes plays a role in what the plant needs to do. if you wana up your crystals an oils i like humboldts own crystal burst with a mag additive such as sweet or sugar daddy. never stop learning new info

Tried different genetics? Even the best growing cant make good bud come out of shitty genetics.

you might be having issues with drying and curing.
You can do everything right through 2 months of flower, and ruin everything in 3 days with too quick/hot of a dry. Then you get that weed that smells like hay.

Bust out the AC while you dry to manage temp control. A long, slow dry followed by a good cure is your best bet

Bad genetics old nutes bad temps or wrong dry and cure. It is hard to say what the problem is. GH is a good product. So I don't realy know where to start. I was in the same spot when I started hydro. I had to bite the bullet and made drastic changes I could not afford. Changed nutes. And grow style. This worked. Then played with different nutes and found a mix all my own that I like. And things might be changing once more.
