I'm no rook with the buddletinays haha but I am a rookie with this harvesting and curing part. So far I've had some pretty good luck with the rest of the growing process. I'm just wondering WHEN and HOW I should harvest my two ladies. I started growing April 7th and switched to flowering May 18th. Hairs are prob about 70% amber on top of plants but only about 20% amber around the base of both. Any and all help would be very appreciated. So far it looks like its gonna be a pretty decent yield. PLEASE HELP WITH INFO ASAP SO I DONT FUCK THIS UP NOW. haha thanks

look at the trichs with a 30x magnifier... depends on the high you want... more milky/clear trichs the uppier the high, more amber trichs, the stonier the high

i didnt get around to flushing today but am planning on it for tomorrow and plannin the harvest for next weekend still, even if its just the top main cola like you said
im really lookin forward to the end results
iv been reading a lot about the final harvest stages and curing and how to do it, but there are so many different ways and ideas
does anyone really think one way is better than the rest?
id love to find out what everyone thinks and what exactly works the best so i can go into this with the most confidence

I would say let it go another week at least, make sure you flush, you wanna get the best, and most flavor and aroma out of that GDP! For real. But let it go for sure, and yes you can do as they have said and harvest the top half if your in a rush, and let the bottom finish off nicely. I don't have a sure way to cure, either way good luck.

take your time Curing... Cut all fan leaves and most leaves "only leave the leaves that are COVERED in crystals (small ones)" Hang upside down on string in 68-70degres. let dry and check daily (twice for me) to make sure NO mildew is forming. Leave drying for 5-7 days. let them dry, be pacient.... THEN put in Glass Jars and Cover with airtight "I use the new Gladwrap" and Three times a day let them Breath for about 20 min. or so.... THEN..after about a couple days or a week-month (depending on the stoner) SMOKE A BOWL AND ENJOY THE FRUITS OF YOUR LABOR.
PEACE

One or Two weeks... I've even (for lower grade dank) put into the glass jars a grape blunt and let it cure in with them for a week... not recommended for good dank...FYI.
Kush for example, takes 6 days drying and 7-10 days curing for that really good smell, burn, taste, smoke, high. again, PACIENCE IS A VIRTUE.
good luck and wish i had some damn G D Purp...

Im harvesting some gdp right now, and for the past 2 weeks or so. On mine, grown under 1000hps, I harvested a couple of tops at 49 days, because i was out of weed, adn those were quite good, but could have gone longer. I harvested the rest of the tops at 58 days, and those look perfect to me. I still have 1 whole plant i was letting go, and all of the secondary growth on the other plants that I'm harvesting now at 64 days. The secondary growth benefited from the extra time, if for nothing else, by turning purple in the direct light.
I don't have a magnifier, so i couldn't tll you about the trichs, but about 80-90% of the hairs are orange, and i can almost see an amber tint on the sugar leaves if you hold them in the right light. I flushed for 3 weeks (in soil) and got the nicest dark purple hues.

I'm verrry happy with my gdp!!
