Just a compost soil Pete mix for seedlings only water with natural spring water from a nearby source
get some perlite and mix in at least 20 percent, helps with drainage and aeration, your roots will grow a lot better, which will make the whole plant healthier.

i'm with harley, don't worry about the new growth, that happens a lot, then the plant straightens itself out.

also, i've found peat needs to be ph'ed around 6.3, i've tried different ranges and that seems to be the sweet spot

not sure what they call it over there, it's little white pebbles of expanded glass, it comes in practically every live potted plant that's sold.

make sure it's perlite and not vermiculite. they look similar and are packaged similarly, but perlite is a drainage and aeration agent, vermiculite is just about the opposite, designed to absorb and retain moisture

eh it could be one or the other, I wish I had the correct answer, what I'm getting at is 8 plants started that way with me but are doing fine now. I was a little worried like u also at first paying $150usd on a pack of bs. But they're fine and happy now. As for the perlite suggestion u cant ever really go wrong with it, drainage is a key element to plant survival.

Just got 2 CFL . 1 at about 900 lumens and the other 1400odd and a small LED strip doing 400 lumens. Just for one plant as I’d rather just grow one and have the bud hopefuls last me a while rather than paying money to guys on the street if you get what I mean. Plus now 2 weeks in its a really exciting experience and I’m really enjoying all the knowledge I’m gaining that in turn can be used on normal gardening

depends on your lights, if you're running leds you can let the temps get into the mid to upper 80s, if you're using hps or mh you want to keep the room cooler, under 80 if you can. proper rh depends on temps.Vapor-Pressure-Deficit-Chart-by-fregrowli.jpg

this is for veg, plants in flower need lower rh. they don't necessarilly like it much, but going much over 50% in flower is asking for pm (powdery mildew) and botrytis (bud rot)
