No scrubber buddy. Hyperfan Stealth. temps are around 25 in bedroom
I'm wondering if you're providing enough intake to match the fan. Try this, open the bottom port(s), and see how that effects the temps. If it does, then I'll give you a little info on how to turn the vents into sealed passive intakes with a simple filter.

Just opened 5 up now.

Sounds like you had everything closed. The airflow you gain by opening things up should really help with the heat. You are going to want to filter those intakes so you're not sucking dust, lint, and other crap into your tent.
I had one or 2 of the sides with the filtered screen open that was it... I just went and checked and it made no difference to temps...

I don't understand why you're having issues with heat. I'm running a 600 watt HPS and with only a 4" 200 cfm fan in a 4 x 4 x 7 tent and I can keep the temperature inside the tent the same temperature as outside the tent. When the outside temperature gets too hot I throw the portable air conditioner inside. I thought LED's had less heat so I don't understand why you're having heat issues. What is the ambient temperature outside the tent?

in regrds to this i have put 2 layers of toilet roll tissue over the probe to block direct light..
This isnt really what i had in mind, but if you move it to the side and away from the light and the reading drops then your getting closer.

Rome wasnt built in a day but after good air exchange getting your thermometer set up to read air temps only can sometimes help quite a lot :-)

Do you or anyone think this could be due to the black rubber tray i have soaking up heat?
Are you measuring your temps near the mat? Black will definitely register warmer, so if you have a thermometer next to anything black, it could be throwing off the temps.

Can you raise your scrubber above the light? It should be as high as possible so that heat doesn't accumulate as easily. Other than that, the only thing I can recommend is having a fan blowing right under the light to dissipate any standing heat right below the light. I always do this because it really helps remove the top layer of heat above the canopy.

The back-left fan is exclusively for blowing right under the hood. The hood temp is 27/82, while my canopy is about 23/75, using a 1k HPS. Note where my scrubber is compared to the hood.

Well i only have a 10L bucket on the ground up.. from the black mat

opens vents did nothing...

so i will bring the lights down as they were previously... i recently moved it up thinking it would help.. and i will put the fan on the lights

I'll share my thoughts, and what i have found.

I believe its simple really.

Without air con.
The tent can only get as cold as the room.

If its 35'C in the room.
The minimum temperature the tent will be is 35'C.
Without physically cooling the air inside the tent.
Or getting cooler air from somewhere.

:peace:

Cover the outside of that light with silver insulation Everything that is not the glass, insulated....
This will help the fan remove heat from the hood which is otherwise acting as a large heater surface.

Yes.

Put the thermometer hanging on a string higher up and make a bit of card to shade it from light.

Black things obviously heat up quicker and conduct the heat to anything else touching it.

Run lights on at night like 99% of growers do.

Open all those duct socks on bottom area which are closed.

Ha! This thread made me realize I was still exhausting in to the garage. I'm now exhausting into the attic and the temp inside the tent has gone down 3 - 4 degrees in a couple hours because the ambient temperature in the garage has gone down because I'm no longer venting into it. Getting that heat out of the room is essential. .

Right, after running the lights nearly for 24hours through the night period... my night time temp (light on) is 29 degress.. but today morning i also notice the back side of the ducting from the fan (to the filter) but on the fan the ducting was coming off.. hence nothing was extracting properly????

going to attach the filter directly to the fan going to shop to get clip sorted.. hopefully this should sort the issue out

While the Plants that size ,put a bigger fan in the corner. Not blowing directly on the seedling ,but blowing across the top of it.If the seedling is coming through and it looks like it's growing then don't worry, until you start to see any problems.Im a massive Believer in the method,if a seed is started in hot temps ,it become used to them,it will be fine .I ditched a temp gage years ago ,it went in the bin round about same time has I stopped ph'ing.just used to cause more problems than they did good ,now I read the plant. They will tell you if there's a problem.I had a problem reading at school ,give me a plant ,and I read it with a smile on my face.Just you been in the room will raise the temps ,My latest up date in my mother room on this section ,there in a room that I would say is around 28/29 ,just a guess mind ya .Most of the info on the web to do with temps and feed is out dated ,and written by growers that at one time we thought was good ,but now looking back ffs ,there shyt. Those Greenhouse seed grows on you tube ,I would not have even put them on very bad results from the KING of Cannabis ..
