Get yourself an IR thermometer so you can take accurate readings of the plants. They're cheap on Amazon.
in regrds to this i have put 2 layers of toilet roll tissue over the probe to block direct light..Are you placing your thermometer where the light can affect it? Correct placement of thermometer is a touch tricky and hence why most new growers think their tents are hot.
A thermometer should be shaded from all light and ir, mainly place it away from the light and not in direct sight of it. For more exacting thermometer reading google how they measure air temperature in weather station
Generally this is the source of the high temps, your thermometer is reading the ir and light which will give inaccurate air temperature readings.
Work to find those ambient temps...

Running lights at night can help with the heat depending on where you're growing. I have my tent in the garage so I run at night when it's cooler. I also vent into the attic during summer and back into the garage in the winter. When it gets really hot I put a portable air conditioner in the tent and vent that into the attic as well. Lots of ways to get rid of the heat with a good amount of airflow being the primary one. You don't want to vent the tent back into the room it's in. You need to vent that hot air outside.
