HELP please. tried everything.

hi i got a problem with the leaves on my plant. there in 3 weeks flowering and the lower leaves on the nodes are going brown on the tips then drying up and then turning a whitey grey colour.
what i'v done so far:
i'v flushed the plants
checked soil ph(7.0) and its not heat stress as im using cfl above the plant and only the lower leaves have been effected. any info will help thanks

im wouldnt worry about it if its just affecting the overall plant.. ive had that happen to me before.. where a limb or a small section of a plant just, for lack of better words, dies.. its never affected the entire plant (in my experiences) and its never affected the yield of the plant (guess i cant know if thats true since i dont know what it would have yielded otherwise)... so unless it start moving to other sections of the plant i wouldnt worry..

its starting to spread to other parts of the plant and my other plants are starting to develop these dry tips.

with ur ph neautral it looks like dreaded nute burn to me - lay off next time hit it with half strength and feed every other watering :joint:

firs of all, i dont want to sound like a know it all, its not nute burn, burn effects the tips of the fan leaves , this is on his new growth, this is a more complicated deficiencie, you need to check the sticky at the top of the forum for diagnosing problems, what exactly are you feeding your plants? this may be something simple like phosphorous

more so looks like a Phosphorus deficiency to me

look, the only thing that can throw your average deficiencie off is when it effect the newest growth, and or top leaves, this could just aswell be a calcium def, but we cant pinpoint anything without know what you feed

i believe it is a magnesium def...

i was doing some reading and found this is my cheat book...

PROGRESSION OF MAGNESIUM DEF. SYMPTOMS AT A GLANCE
no def symptoms are visible during the first three to four weeks. in the fourth to sixth week of growth the first signs of def appear. interneinal yellowing and irregular rust-brown spots appear on older and middle aged leaves. younger leaves remain healthy. leaf tips yellow and turn brown and curl upwards as the def progresses. rust-brown spots multiply and interveinal yellowing increases. rust-brown spots and yellowing progress, starting at the bottom of the plant and advancing towards the top of the entire plant. younger leaves develope same symptoms. the leaves dry and die in extreme cases.

if this fits you scenario..

TREAT DEF. (gonna summarize this... lol)
water with 2 tsp, epsom salts per gal of water
for fast results spray leaves with a 2% epsom foliage spray
it will start from the top and fix its way down... water with the epsom salt until the entire plant is fine... over a couple weeks...


hope this is the answer you need... just dont know how many overall weeks of growth your plants have to know if this is the answer...

B - BORON (B)

Growing shoots turn grey or die. Growing shoots appear burnt. Treat with one teaspoon of Boric acid (sold as eyewash) per gallon of water.

Mg - MAGNESIUM (Mg)

Lower leaves yellow and may even turn white while veins remain dark green. Blades die and curl upward.

Fe - IRON (Fe)

Leaves on growing shoots turn pale and veins remain dark green. pH imbalances make iron insoluble. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Fe or rusty water.

hi thanks for the info i was thinking magnesium or boron deficiency but needed to make sure. just ordered some epsom salts ad my biobizz topmax contains boron so might up the strength a little

far to much epson salts
.
use i small level teaspoon per gallon of water(4.5 litres) and only use it with one watering and see what transpires over the next few days.
i had a MG defficiency but only had 3 plants and only needed 2 litres of feed/water to water all my plants so i mixed a good 1/4 teaspoon of salts to my feed/water(2 litres) and watered them only once with the salts added to my feed/water and i could see the difference in 4-5 days.
you must be carefull with the dosages of epsom salts if you give as too much will cause nute lock and give you extra problems you dont want.its far better and safer to give a lower dose than to over do it and that way you will know if its an MG defficiency.

mix everything together nutes/water and salts in one container and shake well before watering.
let the mix sit for a while at room temp to ensure the salts have dissolved in the mix then shake and feed.

that could be too much epsom salt.. i was just taking it directly from a book... i havent encountered a mag. def myself so i honestly dont/didnt know that 2 tsp. was too much per gal of water.. just tryin to help.. which i think maybe i did...
