I do not have anything to measure the soils ph like anything to check what
My soil is at. But I always ph my water to 6.6 and I use General hydroponics fertz and it automatically adjust ph for me
Soil ph matters little to me and I never check it only what I put in. Gh can get bent on that ph perfect stuff i would adjust regardless. Does it ever read anything other than 6.6? Also do you check ppm?

I’d calibrate and/or check those cheap ones before every use
How would I go about seeing if that’s the problem I recently transplanted them about a week after topping them. The other plant is doing great and reacted great to the top. That one on the left nope she’s just dragging ass and the side colas are out growing the middle part I’ve never seen that before.

Oh yeah, with my sink water it hits 8.50 and so on and I have to adjust it down to 6.6-6.4 when I regular water

I wouldn't adjust ph to water in soil it has buffers but i could be wrong. Every grow circumstances are different

Using ph down and up to adjust your ph.
But at 8.5 that alot higher than most of references I've seen to say it harms more than not in soil.

They do but still adjust. I used to not however I seen a big improvement adjusting it
So adjusting your ph in soil you noticed a positive difference? I have done both but its been years since my last grows so I'm back to relearning and what not as always trying to expand my limited knowledge

No I only adjust what goes into the soil ie nutrients and such. Teas if I make them I don’t touch but that’s a different subject.

Yeah it just pisses me off cause it was doing so great and it’s so bushy and not the mofo is dragging ass and the middle is vanished in the side colas.

Those side colas will probably outgrow and become your new tops maybe wuen you topped it, plant somehow forced the energy to the bottom and sides versus the new tops ?
I had 2 plants before 1 turned male but the plant that sprouted 6 days after ended up ridiculously outgrowing the other so
