Ive got some fungus gnats, and these are some premo-seedlings. I found a place to get fox farms soil, but Im wondering:

If I transplant the seedlings, will the gnats follow and penetrate the new soil?

Any tips from the experts would be MUCH appreciated

Somebody has to know SOMETHING!

Thanks
heaps of posts on knats , i hate the fuckers as i use coco coir and they love the stuff.
some of the tips on here i have used ,put sliced potato and put it in the top of the soil ,the fungas larvae will go for that ,and give you an indication of how many you may have as it is the larvae which you dont want in your soil.
other one was yellow sticky traps for the adults ,but the best i have had so far without using toxic stuff, was from v.v he said to put a layer of sand on top of your soil ,which i did, i put a good layer of sand from the garden store ,and i did still see the odd knat flying around ,but no larvae in my soil ,and i know cos i just harvested about six weeks ago.
so sand works for me as long as you have a good layer they cant hatch and spread etc.:peace:

Put a layer of sand on top of the soil it will kill all the eggs, suffocate the larve and prevent the gnats from laying anymore eggs. Then use fly strips to catch the remaining gnats. Fast and easy.
