Hey all. New to forum. Been a member for a while just never really posted anything. Been a cardholder and smoked for a long time. Recently got into vaping the eventually into oils. They are so expensice figured I would try to get some on my own. This is the 1st batch I came up with.

This is Qwiso, considering trying BHO. Is it that much better and also feedback on my 1st attempt would be nice. Thanks Y'all and keep blazing!

Pretty dark... I would do a QWISO to improve color and taste. Quick wash iso... that means. It looks like you probably soaked your material, correct?

I agree looks like a long soak and heat purge? Next time try either a 20 sec wash or a pour thru technique then let evap with just a fan blowibg over it

What T,K,LL said. You've picked up chlorophyll from too long a soak at the temperature that you ran at and at least partially decarboxylated it with heat.

We use a 20 second frozen QWISO soak, but check out Oakleys pour through method. The trick with both methods, is to stop before picking up green color.

Vacuum or natural evaporation will preserve the carboxylic acid form, but natural evaporation will pick up atmospheric humidity, so it works less well in humid climates.

You can also use a fan to speed things along, but that doesn't work well in dusty climates, you might cover with cheese cloth before blowing over it.

Sorry for the delayed response. I did a super quick wash no more than 40 sec. from pour to filter. I scraped it up after 12 hours and believe i trapped some iso in there. I let it sit for 24 hours then thinned it out across the whole pan. Let it dry for another 24 hours before collecting and storing. I think the early scrape caused the color. Plan on doing a BHO run in next few days. picked up some new supplies.
