helicopter incident (Cali)

I'm not going to get into every detail but me and my buddy are getting ready for the season, we were out on our land. Outdoor grow > central Cali > our land. Red and white helicopter flew through the canyon and stopped very close to us and just observed us for a while (Prob waiting for us to run or something?) then flew away looking for more grows I assume by the way it was flying so low. 1) What kind of helicopter is red and white, should I be worried? 2) why would they get so close to our private property? Any other advice relating to this? BTW I'm new to outdoor growing, so I'm curious, thanks

I also am from central ca. I dont no what area in central cali, but the ones around here to worry about are blue and white, sometimes they use military choppers burrowed from the near by base. red and white is more fire dept i would think. could be wrong though

also i dont think they would be doing searches this time of year, normally towards the end of harvest is when air space seems to always have choppers flying around. They do search though and catch people.

so they stopped close to you? Were they watching you? were you gardening?

Yeah man, it was a trip, very close haha but the thing I didn't mention was before the red and white was a blue and white so I'm assuming they called it in? then on the way out, we saw a sheriff.....

thats not it, it had more of white base with minimal red, I know it wasnt coast guard

I had the same thing happen late last year and was mildly worried so I checked it out.
It turns out that the chopper I saw was a Utility company chopper checking out the power lines, clearances, tree branches, etc. They fly very low so as to get a thermal reading on the lines and to check out what needs done for the upkeep of the power lines.
I never heard of the CAMP people flying this time of year, what would they find? Most havent planted yet, so there would not be any evidence of illegal activity. Unless they had a real reason to be there ( such as an informant ) I would not be worried.

I would be minimally concerned about it. Probably a utility heli of some type. Generally the fuzz waits until at least late August when people have big plants to start doing fly bys and ruin peoples day. It would be incredibly expensive for them to fly around looking for plants this early in the season. Being a Cali resident myself, I'd be pretty pissed off if they are so stupid as to use tax dollars to go after freshly dropped clones. Plus this early unless you had some super big indoor starters, I would question whether they could even spot them from a chopper.

yeah thats not the case, no plants yet, planning on getting them started in a green house within 2 weeks

Are u close to any orange fields or other crops? Sometimes farmers hire choppers to fly low over their fields if their afraid of frost forming on their crops......
