HEADLINE: AZ Attorney Gen vows to fight dispensaries....

Anybody see this bullshit? This headline was in today's Tucson newspaper the Arizona Daily Star:

At this point, I'm just amazed that they won't let the voter's voice be heard. Lawsuits can now start flying. I hope they get their asses in trouble.

This is actually good. Arizona is implementing a law for med patients where if you live within 25 miles of a dispensary you can't grow your own. He's backfiring hardcore.

It's great for growers that the state is fighting this as if no dispensaries open everyone will still be able to grow. I have been holding off on investing in equipment until this is settled. In general I think most of the dispensary applicants are in it for the money and little else and with the investment they have had to make the prices would be outrageous. There is one dispensary hopeful on here who has posted that prices will start out at over 500/oz in his business plan. It is ironic that the state is fighting this though as what they are going to end up with is an unregulated industry that they will be unable to tax. It will be better for the community as a whole as it will encourage more people, myself included to learn how to grow.

Why did AZ waste $1 mil+ to have written mmj laws/program when the state officials, who's signatures are on the final draft, make up their own rules over a yr into the game.
I guess current card revenues alone at least double that figure.
oh Horne, Feds say sb1070 is against federal wishes but AZ does it anyway, wheres the preemption there clown?

Its going to be interesting, all the state needs to do is delay for a yr and then everyone's registration certificate will expire and the department gets to keep everyone's 5k, then all over collect again next lottery.

Watch, a bunch of guys in ski masks and trash bag style DEA coats will burst into the lottery tomorrow and shut it down, jk, but at this point I expect nothing less from AZ.
Maybe W. Humble will get prosecuted for being in charge of the lottery.

Just to play devil's advocate, he actually said that would be his cost per ounce for the first year, with all the overhead and what not. I believe he was planning on selling $350-$400 ounces; high, but not unheard of.

I agree, it's great for the mmj community, patients, growers, etc.... I'm digging NOT being within 25 miles of an operating dispensary.

I am however irritated on a political level. How is it that something gets voted in, yet the will of the voters is ignored.

why isnt horne arguing for state rights on mmj like he does on sb 1070 what a hypocrite. disgusting politician. gotta hand it to him for throwing a wrench in the dispensary system.

Aside from the typical profiteering a-holes
There were some great donation rates for some real quality at the farmers market.
Compassion is out there, you just have to look hard to find it.

I agree with the NM model. I often wonder what is the real benefit of dispensaries, and I am associated with a couple hopefuls.
If the dispensary medicine is going to be anything like what I have been seeing, there is a portion of patients who will refuse to buy it.
The people will resort to the black market, so where is the tax revenue in that plan.
What should we have expected from a state with a previous zero tolerance policy towards marijuana?
Nothing other than what is going on right now.
But this whole, encroaching on voters rights, should set the stage outside of the MMJ world and
open the citizens eyes to how fraudulent the voting system is in Arizona i.e. future political elections.

According to Horne, in that article, Caregivers are not protected, WTF.
I dont think a state judge would hand out a violation if the caregiver were in compliance.
You never know, I feel like Horne is fumbling around in the dark looking for a judge who shares his mindset.
Dont forget AZ plans on putting a shit ton of drones in the skies for border/law enforcement purposes over the next two years, articles everywhere to back this up..

Illegal immigrants don't bring in any $$$ to the state. MMJ being illegal brings in federal funds for law enforcement, prisons, courts, drug rehabs, and more...his people.

Illegal immigrants bring lot of money into the economy, what they all of a sudden dont pay taxes??? remember the housing boom under the bush administration houses were very affordable because illegal immigrants were doing the work dirt cheap contracted out by Pulte, Beazer etc..They may use fake social security numbers but they are still taxed like every other American. I guess under your logic illegal immigrants dont spend any money. I guess they build their houses and buy their furniture, gas, food, electricity, etc in the land of OZ. i think what he meant was undocumented immigrants dont pad the coffers of politicians as much as rounding them all up and holding them in private detention facilities would. I dont think he was discrediting the essential role they play in our states economy. bottom line is this state government is in the business of becoming a police state all the politicians are connected with the private prison system which goes hand in hand with state law enforcement institutions.

your from NM that explains a lot. are patients allowed to grow. because if they are then i dont see the problem. and if someone cant find meds then they have a real problem because i have been able to nose out medication all over the world.

That's ridiculous...a $350-400 ounce is justified when it's illegal, and you're paying for risk in manufacture and transport. Anyone who thinks marijuana costs $10 or even $5 to produce per gram in a well run 'medical warehouse' is delusional. The profits are astronomical. this kind of medicine should be cheap...especially if they want to take away your right to grow it on your own property on your own terms.

'Buying meds' is different from buying weed off some sketchy dude on the street. A medical user would need to know the strain to see if it would give the desired treatment, and some people have compromised immune systems which would be vulnerable to moldy or misprocessed bud.

thats bullshit. some of the best meds i have gotten have not been from a club or dispensary. your basically saying that dispensaries are the only ones with medical grade herb and from my experience there is a lot of garbage in dispensaries sometimes and better stuff on the street. what are you canadian because i have found some of the best weed i have ever smoked and cheapest on the streets of canadian cities like montreal, toronto and niagra falls.
