heading out to lowes, but i need a little help from some experienced growers.

so i have some germinated seeds right now that i need to get planted, but im having trouble finding out everything i need to buy to get and keep things going smooth. im talking only about soil and nutes. i need to know what kind of soil to start the plant in, what kind of soil to transfer the plant in when its time, what nutrients should i use (how much, what kinds, when can i start using nutrients, how often, and when should i stop) just any info you can give me about that would be appreciated. sorry for the n00b thread by the way, im just trying to do this whole thing right without mistakes.

I agree, I have a Lowes close by and their garden section sucks. When I ask some sales associates about Hydroponic stuff, I get a blank stare.

alright so fuck lowes ill go to a local garden store but the nearest place that sells fox farms shit is in detroit and im not driving there for it. but still i need to know what to buy...

u can grow successfully using stuff from HD and Lowes. use a seed germinating mixture for seedlings so u wont burn ur babies. i use MG soil cut wit humus and manure and perlite. MG all purpose plant food for veg and schultz african violet bloom for flower. u really dont have to use the most expensive shit on the market to git the best results. in my area all of fox farm products are way to expensive and i dont c no point in using sumthin that expensive when i can git really good results at a fraction of the cost

generally any nutrient that is two stage, veg and flowering should work. Make sure it is useable for edible plants and youll be great. Fox farm nutes are basically marketed as nutes for growing tomatoes. if you find some good tomato nutes they prolly will work fine with weed. I only use ones specifically made for cannabis so I do not know about them. This is what I have heard.

I would shy away from MG because they sometimes have bugs that are specifically harmful to cannabis.

well ive used MG so far on 7 diff strains and the only bugs ive ever found in MG soil are white flies and i dont find them in every bag and if i do its not many.

MG works but I would use a two stage nute instead so that you have more of the elements you need at the proper times.

ohhh and when i go to transfer my plant into a larger pot should i use the same mixture or somthing else?
start ur young seedling in a premix specifically for seedlings so they wont burn. then went u transplant use the soil that ur gonna b using

waht i did is use coco peat for germination and seedling stage. I then transplanted into ocean forest and gave nutes on week 2. They are thriving fine right now.

any specific nutes i need to buy? or any specific brands any of you are using with success. i feel like such a noob but my friend just tried growing and failed miserably so im trying to piss him off and get some good bud in the process.

lol i already said any two stage nute that works for edible plants will work. 2 stage= veg and flowering seperate. READ THE THREAD that is just my opinion.
