Has science proven cannabis to be completely safe?

I keep hearing that there are no recorded cases of lung cancer from smoking weed alone. Also that no one has ever OD from smoking weed alone. And..that it only causes short term memory loss and not permanent brain damage.

Is this shit true or is there some grey underlining somewhere?
 
All of this is true.
Well except the lung cancer. There could be certain chemical in black market cannabis like ammonia and bleach to make it dry faster. This could be harmful. Also constant use ie HEAVY Smoked, the smoke will paralyze the cilia in your lings and air passages which could turn.to a mutation then cancer. But does cannabis alone cause it, no it is actually scientifically proven cannabis reduces cancer and tumor size.
In terms of the brain damage part it is completely false. In 1972 Reagan had a study done, on which monkeys had a gasmask strapped on and were given the equivalent of 67you Columbian strength joints over a course of 5 minutes continually. They did this every day for one month. Now when the brain is absent of oxygen for more than 3 minutes brain damage starts to occurkillong brain cells. The monkey were absent of oxygen for a total of 5you minute
 
That is the only study which states cannabis kills brain cells. Any other study and actually uses logic to run an experiment or study

As I understand, in consult with my MD, Bronchitis is the only insult traceable to inhaling the smoke of fresh cannabis. The scrape the pipe, goo in the bong, concentration sillyness is, imo, a cancer risk plain and simple. Once we stew it up, who knows. Take a clue from other cultures that have used the palliative and curative properties for 10s of Centuries. Bong, Chellum, Hand Rubbed, poultice, bolus. No high tech ciggy papes, no metal glass hell cooker creations. :)

Been at this for 5s of decades and the bronchitis dissipates after a couple of weeks. I've gone periods of over a year abstain, just to see which is better. And I can downhill ski with no loss of breath, stoned to the bone. I've even had a lung function tests. Just fine.

The studies of the current cannabis cultures don't show any connection to health problems, rather the opposite. Have you ever thought that if Columbus had discovered cannabis instead of tobacco, it'd be a different story? It's all politics. cheers.
 
I made butter and then brownies. I used about 3 oz. And only need a 1x1" square to feel totally grooved out. This lasts about 3 to 4 hours and I sleep soundly. I have a vape but use that sparingly. I prefer my chocolate fixes.
 
i wish I liked eating it more...but most of the time it doesn't do a whole lot....or I am not doing it right or something...
 
This doesn't get much play, but pot is bad for the brain development of adolescent males. "No fatalities" does not equal "safe", which is one of the real reasons that thoughtful legalizers want to keep a 21 age barrier on legal use. That, of course, would offend the most active demographic segment of , say, this site's readers. cn

Agreed. The human brain is *still* developing when you are even 18 years old...and they say through age 25. If you are a total burnout by the time you are age 20...well, you may not turn out to be the sharpest tool in the shed. ;) Have seen some of those types and they didn't turn out too good.
 
The only real debate seems to be over smoked cannabis, in that it might hurt lungs. While study after study has suggested cannabis alone (no cigarettes!) wont harm your lungs long term, if this IS still a concern, you can always vaporize or edible it anyway. There's plenty of ways to get high, smoking is just the most common.

There is something about smoking it; take a hit, inhale, hold for a few seconds and then exhale all your worries.
 
I dont think you need science to determine cannabis is safe. I would say give me a body and then we will investigate :) I mean this plant has been utilized by our species for how many thousands of years before christ? If no one has did yet I think thats good enough to call it safe.

I think the government, all governments that attach to the Controlled Substances Act need to stop lying in the river of denial and give the plant the respect it deserves. It has more medical beneficial properties than ANY OTHER DRUG derived from plants known to MANKIND.

the clause is not "known" but "accepted" medical benefits. I think for the Government to feel that drift they probably need a fat bowl of og#18 :)
 
Man...weed oil is the way to go...gets you high for like 5 hours. Olive oil (doesnt burn) weed and heat under the smoking point. I love it!
