Cool, I just started the flush, I figure for as long as I vegged them that at 6 weeks in flower they should be finishing up at about 8-9 weeks. I'll update on taste and effects in a month! If you are curious my journal is in my sig and should be updated in a day or 2.

Wwwoooaaahhhh man... i just had a small blunt (No.2 pencil sized) of this early finishing pheno at 8 weeks 4 days, (flushed for 3 days, and dehydrated before smoked) and its pretty good... i think i harvested a week and a half to early last time...

i usually go by trichs, and i did it when most of them were cloudy before, trying to avoid some of that couchlock, but that was stupid.... this strain is supposed to give you couchlock, and at 9 weeks it does a much better job of it... i wish i knew a grower around me with some sativa i could trade for...

oh yeah - i veg my plants for 3 weeks... they grow fast under 2KW tho, I light my garden to at least 100w of HID per sq ft... double the suggested, because i need to pull a certain amount of weight out of this closet - and upping the lights is the easiest way... upping the co2 next time will help a lot too i hope ;-)

the taller bushier pheno.. how many phenos would you guys say exist??
1. mutant.. im sure we know that one and you that grow it will find out ..
2 the mid sized .. not a heavy yielder but great bud struckture and done a lil earlier 8 weeks
3. the long stretchy variety that takes too long to finish
4. the big bad daddys.. do great in all stages and are hella bushy take a lil longer to finish..
5. the short stubby tight nodes pheno.. and i didnt get a "blue" plant even with purple max and colder temps??

does this sound accurate?? just my opinions

i got a question for anyone with experience growing this strain who can tell me their average height when growing indoors....i have a grow room with a height restriction and i am shooting for roughly 2 - at most 3 foot plants and i am not certain when to introduce the flowering cycle. i have constittered flowering from seed bud i elected not too this time around, i am planning on vegging them about 6-10 inches and then beginning the flowering cycle, but i would love some input from anyone with experience.
THanks

My first grow 4 clones stretched from 8" to between 42" and 52" - 1000W MH 3200K Sunmaster, RDWC. My double topped mother in pro mix grew from 16" to 36". A lot of stretch I attribute to the MH and no 36 hours dark on onset of flowering.

I'm flowering two clones now (second grow) - a 6 cola in RDWC that streched from 12" to 18" after 4 weeks flower, and a single cola clone in 2 gallons of pro mix, just in the second week of flower, that has stretched from 12" to 17" with more to come. 1000W Hortilux HPS 2100K. Much less stretch.

I'm figuring a 50% stretch through flower, once I get better at growing the strain - you might have luck vegging 18"-20" to get 27"-30" plants, leaving some room for extra stretch your first time around.

.

" i am planning on vegging them about 6-10 inches and then beginning the flowering cycle,"

Your plants won't switch to flower until they reach sexual maturity (around 5 weeks for a lot of strains) and if you put two week old, 6" plants in 12/12 they will continue to veg until they are sexually mature.

Plants topped several times will require a longer flower period to get a multi cola plant to the same height as a single cola plant, so if you top a few times your plant will be much shorter at 5 weeks than a single cola un-topped plant.

I've found that multi cola plants stretch less than single colas, I've never read anything on this but my guess is the plant has to spread the nutes and water collected by the root system over several meristems rather than just one. I'm pulling that out of my ass but something along that line of thought makes sense. I double top my plants, then when I transplant I bury any stem showing by planting deeper - this keeps them a bit shorter.

If you clone you can put them into flower as soon as they root, so once you get your stretch figured out you can pick the finish height of your plants.

Hobbes has some good info...

with a 2-3' plant limit though, you could install a screen (like pics i posted before) and put it at any level... the buds will get 6-10" above the screen if you train them right. I'm pretty sure mine fit in less than 36" of vertical space... from bottom of planter to top of bud. It also will allow you to grow a bitchin' sativa indoor if you want, get a better yield, and get all buds that are fully exposed to the light.

I am also getting that "mutation" on my free thai skunk seedling... It looks like the leaves are "bent" in the middle of the fan leaf.

I've got some DP BB cured now, I haven't done the best job growing this one but the taste is fruity and a relaxed mild long lasting good mood stone. Not bad.

When you say "I haven't done the best job growing this one".
What would you have done different to have improved the results?

I'm curious who makes the best blue strain? I've heard Blue Mystic from Nirvana is good as well as Blue moonshine from DJ Short.

couple different pheno's .. no doubt.. the best ones in my opinion are the taller ones ..youll notice them jump in the 3 week of flower and they have larger rounder leaves.. check my journal..

anyway in a hydro set up my largest was only around 3 oz and the lowest came from the short bushy pheno.. probably 1.5 oz's.. i grew the dutch.. in my opinion its not a large yeilder ...i hear blue satalite, blue hen, bluemoonshine, and big blue are all high yielding blue strains..

I don't know.

I've got great light, air, room temperature, great water, Fox Farm or GH nutes. I'm going to get an RO unit, but I do have excellent water now - couple hundred ppm in clear water. I went light on the nutes and had no fert burn, maybe up the nutes a bit. I used FF liquid and granular in pro-mix and General Hydroponics in RDWC.

I've got a 30" clone, 6 weeks into flower, in pro mix and the buds are all small. I'm going to add some Big Bud with the next watering and start putting in a bit of Cha Ching. I've also got 60w of 8.0 reptile light adding some UVB along the back side of the plant, hopefully increase THC production in the trichnomes.

I've gotten the feminized version of DP and I've been getting quite a few bananas while other (non S1) plants are doing fine. Beware the temptress S1.
