that only works if you do everything by their dates. its basically so you know the day you planted and the average time the crops take to harvest. not so good when strains each develop on their own, awesome when you want to know when your corn and veggies that all have the same life patterns are done as they are all planted on the same day. back then we did not have weather reports to tell us the best days each year we needed the farmers who know the weather to tell us. its been this much full moons so spring starts on this moon
