Harvest time rumors?

I've heard many rumors though my grow. If you do this or that it will be more potent, or more resin production ect.... There are some rumors with harvest I would like to sort out. Does it really matter what time of day/night I harvest? I've heard that early morning harvest are best due to the trichomes swelling overnight. Also I've heard to harvest on cooler days and not to harvest on hot days. Does this really play a role on how potent the final product is? Thanks for the help.

So much is crap you gotta love it though. So the important thing like utterly ideal is to take each budd when it's equal red and blond trichs and you do that and you really are gonna just love the high!

i agree, just pay attention to the trichs and once you have amber and milky, roughly 50/50, its good to chop.
if you dont own a microscope, buy one at radio shack, they are not expensive and its the only way to know a mj plant is ready for harvest.

Yeah i bought one at radio shack, I wish the view area was little bigger. I had to check each bud in a few different spots. Right now the trichs on my Red Dragons are about 70% cloudy and 30% amber. I thought I would see some clear ones, but no there are definitly different shades in the cloudy and amber trichs. It's such an amazing process. These things stink so good lol.

sounds like you have been cool at waiting to chop. you will be rewarded for your patients. i cant wait for my girls to amber up!!

Paying attention to trichome color is the most important thing you can do. For more of a head high, you want white/cloudy trichomes, whereas for a body high amber is the ticket. Here's a guide with a trichome chart
